@amnystik: Yay!!!! Can you believe how that date is suddenly just around the corner? It always seemed an eternity away!
I'm super excited/anxious/overwhelmed! I can't believe it's less than a month away! I don't even know what's on my list right now because I'm knee deep in candy from setting up my (practice) candy buffet!

We leave for our home town in 2 weeks, married in 3!!
The major things on our list to get done are: Groomsmen's suits (2 still have not arrived and they all need hemming), Groom's suit (which he is pruchasing in our home town), My first dress fitting (also in our home town), Bridesmaids dress alterations, Make the place cards for meal selections at the reception, Find shoes for me, Find a reception dress, Find some lingerie as well as a new strapless for under my gown, Purchase all last minute essentials and makeup for day of, Get my mani/pedi done, Get my hair cut and colored, and a couple other loose ends.
We just recently had all of our payments finalized and we picked up our marriage licence yesterday! We also got our gifts for the GMs/BMs all put together last week and our airline tickets to Mexico arrived :)
Not too much left to do. My main goal is staying calm right now and preparing myself. I've been going to the gym and yoga every week, started to tan a little, and I'm also whitening my teeth and moisturizing like crazy!

- Table runners, candy buffet labels, card box (almost done), programs, water bottles, door hangers, tears of joy packets,....and so much more. Everything has been started but I get so excited about everything I haven't gotten to finish it all!
Get with DJ to discuss music
Get with venue to finalize menu and table set up
Make OOT bags
Get my dress streamed
Call all of the non-rsvp-ers! Our deadline is the 25th (friday) and we have had SOOO many people not rsvp yet!! :(
I know I am forgettng so much but I'm sure itll all work out!!
Today is our RSVP deadline. We only got one more and have to make a bunch of calls. Which is not a problem, I figured that would be the case. But I was more than happy that we hadn't gotton any "and guest" from people who weren't invited with a guest. That would have been a first on the Bee, right?
So, of course today's RSVP reads "John Smith and guest". I tell FI, who then casually mentions "Yeah, Joe Schmoe is bringing a guest, too. I'll figure out something." What? Joe Schmoe hasn't even sent his card back, just called FI. Why on earth did FI not mention this to me earlier, e.g. while I was working on the guest tracker list?
Luckily, we don't meet the venue's minimum guest count and can accomodate a few more that we have to pay for anyway. But why do those guys think we want to entertain their random flavor of the week at our wedding?
5 weeks from today!
I am about to head down to the antique store down the street, to pick out a hat, his cufflinks, and maybe a necklace and/or earrings.
I still have to decide whether I can afford to get hair/makeup done, we need our wedding license, his shoes, some "bride" and "groom" signs for the back of our bikes, and shoes for him. A quick lawyer visit for the prenup, then we're done!! Yeehaw! Oh- and I suppose vows are a good idea, lol!
Still need to write vows...and finalize our ceremony in general (FI is being so difficult lol) we are supposed to meeet with the officiant tomorrow. and Ive decided that tomorrow is THE deadline...if i havent heard from you by then you cant come...I have to give in my final numbers to my caterer lol....and the RSVP deadline was 3/14/2011.....a week to the day lol
Sigh. there is so much still left to ddo. i finished about half of my aile decorations for the church last nite. I kinda wanna do some more tonight but Im sleepy so we shall see

I've been calm knowing we had a head start on major things, but the stress definitely kicked in at the 19 day mark. I actually had a mini meltdown tonight which I soothed with an almond hersheys bar, adele's new album, and a beer lol. Anyhoodles, what's left you ask? Hmm, here's a few of the biggies:
- Our bartender just cancelled on us today, so we need a replacement! BOOOOO
- Purchase day of chones aka underwear
- Finish scanning photos for our slideshow
- Fill out place cards
- Book wedding night hotel
- Write Vows
- Final Dress Fitting/Pick up dress on Saturday
- Buy Booze / Bar Supplies
- Prepare instruction packet for our day of coordinator

The whole calling the non-rsvp ers is the BANE OF MY EXISTENCE. I HATE it. I called one of my college friends yesterday and her excuse? "OH! I just found your invitation yesterday! Sorry I cant go on such short notice!" Oh really? did you miss the save the date I sent 6 MONTHS ago too? FRIENDSHIP OVER. ugh.
I still need to pick out my favors!! im so stuck on these :(
I also would like to get cufflinks for FI.
@Ms.Teddy: Ihear you! Your friend just FOUND the invitation yesterday? I'm sure you sent it on time, so how is this short notice?
We STILL have past deadline RSVPs coming in. One guest is somewhere in FL for his job and FMIL tells me to assume he is coming, just because "I would be very surprised if he didn't come!" Then yesterday we get a "No" who filled it out in the "Yes" line, and the person(s) didn't tell us who they are.
@AprilJo2011:its extremely stressul...but for the most part im just HURT. its like they didnt even care enough to send in their "no" rsvp because they just dont care at all. :( :( :(
Yay for being so close to April weddings!
Still left to do: OOT Boxes, Chocolate favors, confirm those coming to the rehearsal dinner, get our marriage license (only good for 30 days in Texas), drop off our cake topper and pay the balance on the cake, pay off the venue (I'm holding off on this one until April because I have a feeling there may be a "yes" guest that actually won't be able to come).

Arrgggghh stressing out because people who have sent in yes are now backing out. Mind you I have finished the seating chart and almost done with the place cards. At least they let me know now. We hired babysitters based on people telling us 8 months ago when we sent out RSVP that they will be bringing kids. Now we only have one kid our nephew who really doesn't need a babysitter. I doubt we can get our deposit back.
I am pretty much done. all I have left is to tie fabric on the Marmalade we made as favors, cut out the runners, and finish the places cards. All this should be done by this weekend and we will be good to go. We are mailing all the DIY stuff to Cali starting this weekend. 3 weeks of no wedding stuff to do will be great for once.

I'm so sick of the people who haven't RSVP'd telling us they have to wait until they find out if they have this job they applied for, or if they can get off. Stop trying to make this convenient for you. I swear, the next time I get married, I'm going to court house. lol
No one but us brides seem to understand the importance of the having the final guest number. My florist is waiting on the final count so she knows how many centerpieces she will needs, my baker needs to know how much cake to back, everyone needs the final number and I have to FORCE FI to call his friends/family to find out when they are sending in the card. They think it's acceptable to tell us over they phone if they are coming and how many will be coming. Umm HELLO???? I PAID for that RSVP card and I PAID for that stamp you see in the right hand corner. Are you seriously that F***ing lazy to get a pen, write your name, if you are coming and how many?
I just bought my hair extensions and false eyelashes today, waiting on my guestbook to come in, zazzle ONE AGAIN screwed up my menu cards, going to see my MOH Friday to finish the card box and order the table numbers.
@xshellx2003 I think every job I've ever started I already had a prior scheduled appt or function coming up... I always let them know in the interview the projected dates coming up and they were always fine with letting me off..... I've NEVER bought that excuse "gotta wait to hear" b/c really if you do your part professionally it's not usually an issue. You should tell your friends that... lol ;)

Well, Im done. Marriage license, vendor payments, timeline, seating chart, rehersal, rehersal dinner bach party, dress rehersal, makeup trial, center peices, table numbers, buying odds and ends, coloring books, crayons, colored pencils and paper for the kids table ALL DONE!!!!! Oh yeah HONEYMOON BOOKED AND PLANNED AND PAID IN FULL!!!! Now the next week i just get to actually be excited and not focused on planning. IM so excited.
I'm almost there. Finishing the cursed slide show. Decorating the card box. Need to replace my driver's liscence. Wrap up work. Pack. Then we go!
One week from this moment, I'll be eating my wedding dinner. :-)

Ahhhh 1 week to go and sooo much to do still it seems. As of right now i still need to:
Decorations are FINALLY finished, I finally tasted my cupcakes and they are AWESOME and perfect. At this point though outside of paying vendors and packing day of stuff...everything else is kind of an " if i get it great and if not oh well...." so we will see but come hell or high water this time next week ill be mearried :)

I still have to Make Boutoneers, finish choosing church decorations, get alcohol and non alcoholic drinks, cups and napkins for bartender, FINALIZE GUESTLIST(will you believe some people still havent sent in RSVPs...) choose my accessories, finalize my makeup, make some sort of 'welcome pack" for OOT which includes EVERYONE sigh lol. Theres still no Marriage liscense, no suits for ushers or ring bearer and im sure my bridesmaids dresses still have to be altered and the list goes on but in 24 days we are getting married regardless =]
But I FINALLY got my shoes (and am racticing walking in them as i clean my aapartment)
