I did listen to Mix 104.1 this morning and heard them talking about a pet tax. They were saying how the governement is requiring you to go to this website and pay taxes on your pet and if you don't they will fine you. And I came into work and a couple of people were talking about it, so I went onto the website and it said April Fools!
my mother called me this morning and said "daddy and i were going to call you up with a long drawn-out story of how we had decided we really don't want you to get married, and how we just couldn't support you in that decision... but then we just couldn't do that to you!"
good thing she decided against it... i was half-asleep when she called and probably would've believed her!
haha, this is funny because my coworker and i JUST performed our april fools joke on our other coworker.
we took a screenshot of his computer desktop ( his desktop is sooooooo incredibly busy.. there is about 50 project folders scattered about) and made it his background. He just spent 10 minutes clicking "folders" that were images.
ha!!! after 15 minutes we told him... he was a good sport! and it was funny to watch.

My husband fell for one this morning..the radio station he always listens to said that Urban Meyer (FL Gators coach) quit again. My husband called me all pissed off at about 6:30 this morning to let me know. I reminded him it was April Fools and think that just pissed him off more. We're pretty big Gator fans.

I remember Google's prank last year was funny. When you went to gmail, it said there was a new service that would answer your e-mails for you. I don't have any good ones of my own, though.

The radio had a pretty good one this morning (every year, they have a good one). They said that a local man wanted to open a tattoo parlor for KIDS. Called “Tats for Tots”, letting parents tattoo their children, aged 6 months and up. They played a commercial, promoting the grand opening of the tattoo parlor, which the DJ’s voiced (like they do for most of the commercials) and all these people called up REALLY outraged. The DJ’s were all like “we don’t support this either, but he paid upfront for the commercial” – then the station manage comes on and tells them that they will all be fired if they don’t stop disparaging the client.
The calls were hilarious though – all these people were sooooooooooooo fired up!!!!!!! They were calling for contacting your local lawmakers to make sure tatoos on children are banned (which, they are lol).

I'm the WORST prankster ever, I hung up the cleats years ago. Anytime I would agree to be a part of someone elses plan, I would start to feel bad and blow up their spot. In the middle of the joke I'd be like, "Omg, I'm so sorry, we were just kidding!". I'm.The.Worst. I don't have the heart for it! Lol
As a waiting bee I changed my facebook status to ENGAGED!! My SO is on board too, so we're leaving that up all day and seeing what the reaction is ;)

@krissy- oo thats good!! i thought about putting something like that too on my FB (like we were going to elope or go to vegas !!!) but chickened!
i'm taping the sprayer handle down on the sink so that when FI turns the water on it sprays him all over :) i do it every year, he falls for it every time, and it just gets more and more funny haha
@krissy.... Oh i want to do that do, but I don't think boyfriend would be on board. I also think a lot of people would be disappointed when they found out it wasn't true.

so my brother went to court today for something that could have been serious but no one thought it would end up that way.
I was at the school registering and my mom called and i instantly answered and said "please tell me good news" she said she couldnt and my brother got 93 days in jail.
We have been worried about that happening as he would miss my wedding!
I immediately started bawling and then my bro called and said he loved me and he was sorry that he was going to miss my wedding and after a few minutes of crying he said APRIL FOOLS!!!! I was so pissed. He ended up just having to take some anger mgmt classes.
Not cool. I guess my mom called him immediately and said he had to call me and fix this cause she couldnt stand that i was crying so hard. They were going to try to play it out all day and get my fiance involved but they couldnt handle me being sad.
