I got accepted into Cal State Sacramento and I feel so excited and blessed. My bf says he rather get married up there. The thing is that I’ve never been to Sacramento before. I will visit twice before the actual move but for sure I’m moving there because anywhere is better than Los Angeles to me at this point. I’m just so ready to leave LA.
Anyways, I would imagine we are having a very intimate (like 25 Guests) and cheap wedding. But I really wanted it to be outdoors somewhere beautiful, maybe at a park. And with a string light canopy or cafe/globe lights hung over a long table for us to all sit at and eat with one another. I am willing to change wedding plans if Sacramento Weather around April 26th will make an outdoor wedding uncomfortable. But we don’t want to change the date because it’s special to us (the day we met). please let me know your honest opinions. I will change plans to having an indoor wedding if you guys mostly think the weather around then calls for it. Thank you in advance.

I’m not an expert, but I was in Sacramento around that time last year and found the weather to be very nice. Maybe slightly brisk (and I am a big whimp about cold) but nothing to worry about imo. I’m not sure how scientific they are, but here are some averages for your date. Good luck!

I live very close to Sacramento. April is usually nice, but you run a risk of catching the end of our rainy season. If I remember right, this past year, summer seemed to come pretty early. But I know that a lot of years it’s still rainy in April.

@joious2: I grew up in Sacramento, and Sac State is a great school, I know a ton of people who went there or are going there 🙂
April is usually really nice, but it might rain.
I went to a wedding at the Capital Park Rose Garden once and it was gorgeous, but the reception was held somewhere else, indoors. Getting married in Spring in Sacramento, you should definitely have a rainy weather plan.

April is generally nice, just a little chilly still, but you do run the risk of rain. I’m getting married in April in Sacramento and chose an indoor venue to be safe. I’d say if you do an outdoor venue, definitely have a backup plan.
For that size wedding, there are a few restaurants tat have nice courtyards and would also give an indoor option.
