Andie.lee:  I would pick the morganite because I love the soft pink color. It makes it dainty, and delicate looking. They are both REALLY pretty though, I can understand why you are having a hard time deciding!

What’s your skin tone like? Have you tried both the gems on before?

Andie.lee:  Where on earth did you find these lovely rings? I’m kind of drooling right now and I’m not typically a big “ring porn” kind of girl.

Andie.lee:  Being that skin tone I think you could pull off either. Must admit I love the Morganite colour the best. I want a cocktail ring done in that! Let us know what you decide 🙂

Aquamarine is actually more classic than morganite. Morganite is currently very trendy. I voted aquamarine. I do love morganites but I prefer cooler tones for everyday wear, and I feel that aquamarine is a much more classic stone.

Time for a (slightly) unpopular opinion: I voted aquamarine because I prefer blues to pinks, and cool tones to warmer ones. But it seems that based off of your descriptions, that you’re leaning toward the morganite (“classier” vs. “different” makes it obvious which you want more), and I think you should go with the one you like more. You’re the one who will be wearing it, after all. 🙂

Aquamarine is definitely more classic. I’ve worked with a lot of beautiful antique rings and the gem is stunning! Either way, if you like both, having your boyfriend choose will be even more special!

Andie.lee:  Thanks for the info. I’m torn between colors because I’m more drawn to the pink but the blue is really lovely and I’m a March baby so it’s my birthstone so I might be biased there too. You have one tough decision!

Andie.lee: I like the idea of having your boyfriend choose the stone type in your situation. I’ve never heard of it before, but with aquamarine vs. morganite (both in a white metal), it’s not too far from when many women let their SOs choose between two or three different styles to propose with. Please keep us updated! 😀

To say my opinion, I like aquamarine. It’s light, crisp and quite versatile. I really love the colour of the morganite, but I wonder if the pretty shy pink colour might disappear when on a light skintone. Saying that, they are both lovely and I am sure the ring will turn out beautifully no matter which one you choose.

I voted aquamarine because I had a pair of morganite earrings and I had to constantly clean them to maintain the sparkle. I think the aquamarine would look better for every day wear.
