@Arshim:  I love aquamarine (my birthstone).  I have a 1 ct natural aqua, trillion cut, set in silver.  I wore it as a RHR for about 3-4 months straight, and never had any problems with it.

@Arshim:  Oh well…if I must! I got it from Kay’s, it’s sterling silver and an aquamarine, although I don’t know the specs on it. I don’t wear it every day, but I’ve had it since April and no problems even after I banged it on the wall and stuff.

ETA: Keep in mind that aqua is porous, so you do need to be careful what liquids get on it as well. That being said, I wear it to work in my office and don’t have any problems. I just take it off when I wash my hands.

I have one!  I love it, it was a V-day gift from my boyfried.  It does get dirty/cloudy easily, but I love getting free cleanings from a jeweler, it always looks super sparkly afterwards!  At home I use dawn dishsoap and a soft toothbrush, and that works too, but not as well.

Mine is a 6mm cushion cut aquamarine, with black diamonds.

Although I am wearing this on my left hand, it’s a RHR. I got it as a first anniversary gift. It’s 7mm step cut and is set in white gold with diamonds. I love it, but have also noticed it gets dirty/cloudy easily. Like PP said, when it gets cleaned professionally, it sparkles right up.

@Kings7911:  I love the way it looks with black diamonds! Do you wear your ring everyday? How long have you had it? I would love an aquamarine but I’m worried about breaking it!

I love aquamarine! It’s by far one of my favorite gemstones! It’s not my birthstone :(, but it is my youngest daughter’s…so I have an excuse to wear one..not that one needs a reason..but you know I what mean 🙂

I have several aquamarine RHR rings. As far as durablity they are about a 7 and a half on the mohs hardness scale..so they are fine for everyday wear.

I will post a pic of mine shortly…my camera doesn’t take great pictures like everyone else who posted their’s…but none the less I will post them!!

It’s held up nicely in the bezel setting as a RHR, no scratches or anything like that – but it’s difficult to keep clean and shiny!

Here are the pics as promised!

The pear shape one is a four carat aqua set in a custom solitaire mounting. I purchased the stone for about $40.00 online, but because of the cut of the stone I had to have the mounting made for it, I had it made in silver to keep the cost down.

The other ring is an asscher cut aqua with small diamond pave on the band…hubby bought it for me from QVC a couple years ago.

@Arshim:  Thank you 🙂 my camera takes HORRIBLE pictures…I don’t have any more pics of it 🙁 QVC doesn’t sell it anymore otherwise I would have put the link up for it, so you could see a better picture. I know Etsy has a ton of sellers who sell asscher or princess cut aqua rings…if you haven’t checked there already.

Aquamarine can look washed out, however, the stone really isn’t a dark blue color to start with. Very expensive aqua can be darker, but you’re going to pay for that.  If you’re looking for a more vibrant blue color I would check out blue topaz….swiss blue to be exact. Just a suggestion!

@Arshim:  I wear this daily and it’s held up beautifully. The semi bezel and low mount help. I will say it gets dirty often and easily but I’m always using hand sanitizer and the emerald cut shows dirt easily.
