I am in love with every shoe that is 4". I am 5'2" and my fiancee is 6'. So the height is not the problem. Has anyone worn 4" heels during their wedding? How was it?

I am 5'2" and my FH is 6'3"... so I see where you're going with this!

Personally, I think I would DIE with 4 inch heels, especially for an extended amount of time. I would rather be comfortable (and confident that I won't fall over!) in a lower heel. I prefer comfort over style though, so it depends on you.

I think what matters is how often you wear high heels, and specifically how often you wear 4" heels.  If you always wear them, you won't have an issue.  If you always wear tennis shoes or flats, then 4" is going to be Painful!!

I wear 4" heels all the time, and though my feet are usually sore by the end of the day, I make it without being in real pain.  My heels for the wedding are 4 1/4" tall.

I'd recommend buying an inexpensive pair and wearing them all day to see how you do!  I don't think they're too high, but I'm also used to them.

I would imagine that your feet would ache after the wedding unless it's very short and you plan on changing shoes for your reception!  If you have experience walking in very tall heels and for an given length of time, I don't think it'd be an issue.

You could just wear the shoes for the ceremony and change them at reception. The only thing is that your hem will be based on the 4inch heels, so when you take them off your dress may drag.

I am almost 5"2" and I am going to wear 4" heals for the wedding. I used to wear 4" or 5" heels all the time until I broke my ankle. I am determined to make it happpen. If you aren't used to wearing heels, you will have problems, unless you do some serious practise wearing prior to the wedding. Start out with wearing them about 10 minutes a day and work yourself up 5 minutes at a time, until you can wear them comfortably for several hours. Also, practise walking on different surfaces and up and down steps and stairs. I suggest getting a practise pair for your practise sessions.

i would die in 4'' heels since I usually don't wear higher than 2 or 2.5 inches, but if you normally wear them, then go ahead and rock them!

Get gel insoles for comfort, or 4" platforms so your foot doesn't have to actually arch like a 4" regular heel would do.

I'm 5' 2" and my FI is 6' 1", so I feel you on wanting some real height on the big day.   However, I wear heels all the time, usually around 3 1/2 or 4" and, the last time I wore that high of a heel to a wedding I ended up taking them off because I couldn't dance in them!  It's just harder to move with them on.  Walking in them is one thing, but you have to think about if you're going to want to be on the dance floor all night long or not.  Personally I will be, so I'm looking for a 3" heel, or one with a platform to give me the height and not the pain.  Just something to think about.

I'm in the same boat.  5'1 and FI is 6'3. I'm going for high heels...but one with a platform so that I can walk in them :)

It doesn't bother me one bit, but then again, I like wearing heels.

Make sure you break them in, and don't get the cheapy ones that give blisters.

Mine are 4in and Im sure my feet will hate me ha, I cant help it, the higher the better! What size are your feet? It really depends on your shoe size bc 4 in for a size 7 1/2 shoe is way different than a size 5 1/2 or 6. The smaller will be steeper. Try looking for ones that have a platform, theyll be much more comfier and easier to walk in.

I think with your height and you FI being that much taller, go for it girl! If you are comfortable in walking and standing in those for at least a few hours then definitely do it! Plus it all depends if when you go out, is that the height you usually wear? Then you should be fine. If it is a height you aren't use to, it will hhuuuuurrtttt.

    Good luck <3
