i haven't started shopping for my dress, but my plan right now is to purchase a black belt or sash to add to my dress. (the second image would be a black ribbon not the stone color)

I had a sash on my dress and I debated switching out the champagne color for a black sash to match my BM. I think a touch of black looks pretty and elegant.
Did you happen to catch the episode of Say Yes to the Dress from Friday? There was a bride whose dress had some black lace detailing on it.
Miss Ribbons is doing a black sash. She blogged about it not too long ago.
My dress came with a black sash and I would never change it. I wear so much black on a day to day basis that it is kind of a nod to that.
originally i wanted quite a bit of black in my wedding dress, but i ended up with a white dress so i added black and silver lace cuffs and a big black feather fascinator for my hair.
According to Bride magazine black and white is the new trend coming out this year so you are just ahead of the game. :)

@The immigrant bride I also wear lots of black on a day to day basis, So it came to no ones surprise when they found out I was wearing balck on my dress lol
I'm still debating if I want to do a black sash at the reception. I think I'll decide after the dress is altered, and see if it needs a little kick. But I think it's a beautiful look.

i LOVEEEEE THE DRESS TOO!! My dress is pretty fitting too and Im gonna be honest its pretty uncomfortable to sit down in it..almost like its gonna rip lol Is yours comfortable to sit in
I'm not wearing black, but I am puuting suttle hints of red in there. On my birdcage veil I added red rhinstones & will be wearing red shoes. And for the reception, I'll have a red flower with black feathers (oh black!! :) ) in my hair. Oh I'll have red flowers & black ostrich feathers for my bouqet.
I think your dress will look amazing, the pic of the model is very gorgeous!

@damaskqueen, thank you, thank you!! and actually, my dress isn't so bad to sit in. it may be a bit more difficult when it's altered since the sample was a big large for me, but one thing that i love about it is the boning in the dress forces you to have amazing posture. :) your dress is fabulous, if i might add!

My personal preference is usually no color accents on a wedding gown, however with one exception: I do like black sashes. The pictures you've posted are lovely :)
@eryepye I kind of agree with you. I really like just the plain dress and no extra color.. Although i do find some of the dresses to look great with the black sashes.. No black on my dress
My dress is all lace and came with a white sash. I plan on wearing it for the church ceremony and then changing it to a black one for the reception.
Yes, well as a compromise with my Mom I am wearing my black sash for the reception.

I bought Beauty by Caroline Castigliano, it can come with any color of sash but the black sash really makes the dress look beautiful!
