@newcitylights:  oh they love to see us squirm lol but it does sound promising… he may have paid part of it and it’s being made. Personally I know that my SO has the ring… and it’s killing me! I’ve known that since Vday. But before that it was what if I’ve paid for it? what if it’s here? etc lol Hang in there, fingers crossed it will be on your finger soon!

I asked my fiance and he says that he thinks your boyfriend really has the ring and that he’s being dismissive and trying to throw you off because he’s panicking. My fiance did the exact same thing to me and it drove me INSANE! Everytime I mentioned marriage or the idea of us getting engaged he’d make a dismissive joking comment, and that’s because he was trying to throw me off the tracks of his proposal plans.

FI said this to me. 3 months before we went and picked out a ring together. And guess what? He bought the ring we picked out right in front of me, so he clearly had not already bought the ring when he said ”Maybe I have the ring already”

Oh they definitely say things to make us squirm. =/ Hopefully you have better luck than I do. My SO says this to me often. Luckily, I know he doesn’t have it yet, but he’s getting close! Good luck!

I think its probably a good sign. My SO has made comments like this.  I also told him i would like him to propose by Januaray, his response was “No problem!!…..but dont tell me what to do”.  I’m pretty sure he was covering his tracks.

Any time i ask about anything my SO says “Dont you want it to be a surprise?” and changes the topic.  He wants me to know NOTHING about a proposal.  So there is no point in asking.  Men want to control this.  You will only ever get vague answers to throw you off their trail.

I’m confused it sounds to me more like he does have it and is just trying to come up with any responses to your questioning…what else is he supposed to say if he does have it short of telling you he has it?
