My invitation is the first thing a person sees when they open their invitation. And tucked behind it is the RSVP card, which is tucked under the fold of the RSVP envelope. I would put the RSVP card behind the invitation. The invitation is the thing you want guests to pull out or see first.

The RSVP/response card is supposed to go on top of the invitation, but if I wasn’t doing a pocketfold, I think I’d do invite first because I’m non traditional and I think it looks better.

I didn’t really look for instructions on invitations, actually, since I was banding them or wrapping them or putting them in pocketfolds. I have the invitation, an back-to-back enclosure card with info on the post-wedding BBQ and hotel info, and then behind those two things, is the RSVP.

If that’s wrong, well, I don’t want to be right! Haha.
