(Closed) Are photo shoot proposals a surprise anymore?

@RunnerBride13:  I think women would know in that situation, but if he takes her to a park and there is a random dude with a camera taking pictures of blue jays there, she might not “get it” then, so I think in that instance the trend won’t die out.

@RunnerBride13:  I have seen unmarried couples get professional pictures taken without an engagement. Totally hear your point though.

I didn’t even know that was a thing.

I’ve heard of being out and about at the proposal location, asking a stranger to take a photo, and popping the question then. But actually scheduling a professional “engagement photoshoot”? Sounds completely ridiculous to me.

FI and I did have pics taken while we were dating, but there was no proposal (just a lack of photos of us together). I would not have liked a photography session proposal

My friends just recently got engaged this way, but they have a young son, so she thought they were going for family portraits. 

I do see your point though. I think I would have suspected something for sure!

My FI and I got pictures taken before we were engaged. No proposal happened that day.
