This is the dress I choose, it is a the pronovias 2009 Rania and 100% raw silk. So it has that rainbow shine when the light hits its
I love it! I'm doing something really similar. It's gorgeous and stunning!
I think you need to hold it up next to your dress to decide. I think its beautiful and I had planned on colors with my dress too. Then I tried it on and held various bouquets at kleinfeld (burgundy, white, blue, red, orange, etc) and the ONLY ONE that clicked with me was the white. It was like the "I just know" feeling. Thats what Id suggest.
If that isnt an option, I truly dont think it is TOO dark - it is elegant, not gothic at all.
I love the bouquet! I love those colors for a fall or winter wedding. Very rich and showy, not goth. If it were goth you'd be donning a wedding dress a la shanna moakler in some deep dark color. Richness is GORGEOUS!
maybe a little girly embelishment of some sort would girlie it up since it is so dark. maybe some rinestones? i do love it, but it does have a gothic vibe goin on...
love the dress!
I'm with Gamblina--what about something else in there? Like some sprigs of little decor like rhinestones or pearls, something else glam but a little less on the dark side? The only reason I say that is because honestly... if it was too dark for your dress, you'd want it to match a little!
Also, not to sound weird, but if you were bleach-blond this also may look a little too dark--I think Ashlee's hair sets it off perfectly as far as balance, so keep that in mind!
It's beautiful regardless though and best wishes to you!
I think that it is very rich and glam!!! It is perfect for a fall wedding!
@erdz80....I haven't finalized my flowers yet. But I am pretty set on Black Magic and Baccara roses, Dark red Arabian Nights dahlias and some dark red and black feathers. I also really like spider mums too.
It's a nice look, as long as it 'goes' with your wedding colors/decor. Don't let anyone change your mind, it is a very glamourous bouquet!
I LOVE it! If you feel it is too dark you can add some white flowers (calla lillies, etc.) to give it some pop and lighten it up but I think it is great the way it is!
It looks beautiful! And I love that y ou are doing something different! As long as your groom is wearing a black tux, I think it will go just fine!
The photo defo makes them look nearly black... which gives off the goth/rocker vibe to me. I'd love them so long as you could tell they were eggplant and not black. Make sure to consider your venue's lighting as well... since low romantic light would definately make them look black.
I LOVED Ashlee's bouquet, but it was a bit dark for me to use at my wedding. I'm using dark purple dahlias and burgundy dahlias and calla lillies in my bouqet.
I LOVE the bouquet! I was going to go with dark purple flowers back when our wedding was supposed to be in October. Here is what I think about the dark vs. glam think. It all depends on the look of your wedding, wedding party, venue, etc. If your groom is a rocker type complete with eyeliner and an emo haircut, then yes it will look goth. However, if every other aspect of your wedding is elegant and glam then that is just going to complete the look, especially for a fall wedding IMO. I am assuming the rest of your wedding colors are also eggplant or similar?
Love it! I would probably put a bouquet initial or something in it and tie it with a blinged out ribbon or at least a velvet ribbon with a brooch. i think it's very romantic... more importantly i suppose is what do you YOU think? none of the other opinions matter ;)

I just saw this pic and it made me think of this thread... it has feathers in it, which you could use to lighten the color of the bouquet and help make it lighter and feminine.
Oh, i love your color choice, especially for a fall wedding! It's so luxurious! And I love the feathers suggested above--so hot! Is that the color you will be using throught your wedding? What are your bridemaids wearing? And your groom and his guys? What are your linen and other decor colors? As long as you are consistent, it will work beautifully! You could also use a second accent color if you still wanted to soften it a little. That second color go go into the ribbon to wrap the stems. Again, consistency is key--sprinkle the accent color into other areas of decor for a unified look. We, of course, will want to see pics!
I think the dark colors will be lovely. They will definitely add something special to your ensemble.
I love that bouquet! It's bold and really makes a statement. I don't think it looks too dark. If you like it, go for it!
I think it's beautiful. If you love it then go for it. I'd never seen any pictures of her bouquet but it's gorgeous.
I'm having eggplant calla lilies in my bouquet too, but with ivory roses, orange spray roses, and perhaps some stephanotis. For me personally all that dark would be too dark, but if you like it, then go for it! You can always add a few lighter spray roses or maybe some baby's breath to lighten it up if you want. Good luck!
I think the dark flowers are gorgeous...especially for a fall wedding! Your dress is pretty glam, so I definitely think that is the tone the flowers would end up taking on!
I think the contrast between an ivory dress and such a dark bouquet is very pretty. This is your wedding, you should do whatever you want!!
I like it, it's different and mysterious at the same time...go for it!!

Okay, I thought I was a decisive bride but I made most of my decisions so long ago and with my Oct 09 wedding fast approaching...........I am second guessing everything. So it is tooo late to change my dress, thanks for everyone who complemented me on my choice. But what about the bouquet flowers??? I think they may be too dark, but i know that since the color of my dress is a very light ivory I do not want an ivory bouquet. I hate red bouquets and pinks are too soft. I choose Ashlee Simpsons bouquet, which is a bouquet centered with eggplant calla lillies and surrounded with baccara roses. Is it too contrasting?? Some bridesmaids say to gothic but some say it is sooo glamourous. I am spending around $400 on my bouquet so I wanna be sure I get the glamourous look I paid for!
