Are there any brides who wore a watch on their wedding day? Or plan to?

My cousin had a gorgeous one in her wedding pictures, it was a diamanté studded bangle and it looked gorgeous. I am planing on wearing an antique fob watch as my something old

I might wear my watch, I’m still undecided though. It’s quite a nice watch (goldstone with mother of pearl face) and my dad gave it to me for my 25th birthday, and it’s quite special to me.

Oh wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that, but it sounds gorgeous! Lots of women’s watches look kinda bridal. I would definitely think about a pocketwatch (I don’t wear a wristwatch, ever, none I’ve tried fit comfortably). You should definitely do it and post pictures ’cause now I want to see this gorgeousness.

I didn’t want an engagement ring, but FI surprised me by getting me a watch when he proposed since he insisted I needed a gift. 🙂 Obviously the watch is very special to me now, and I’ve been thinking of wearing it. But I’m also afraid I’ll be checking the time all day, and I do want to be relaxed.

@whitemochi622: E-watch twins?!? FI knew I wanted to have a say in my e-ring, so when he proposed he got me a watch, too! I’ve been thinking of wearing it as well 🙂

I’m wearing a vintage watch.  This belonged to my grandmother and was given to me by my aunt after I graduated college.  I normally wear it for formal occasions because it’s so delicate.  I originally hesitated on wearing it because it’s yellow gold and all of my other accessories are not yellow gold, but I think the vintage feel works with my all-lace dress.

@MrsRevolutionize:  Aww yay! What does your watch look like? Is it on the thinner side? Mine is kinda chunky, and I’m wondering if it will look too heavy on my wrist? I wear it every day at work and going out, but with a gown?

I wear a watch every day, but no I didn’t wear it on my wedding day. Just my wedding jewelry and rings.

@whitemochi622:  OMG we are serious e-watch twins!!!! FI proposed to me when the big fashion fad was women wearing chunky men’s watches, so that’s what it is!!! Hahahah!! Unfortunately I don’t have a picture here, but I’ll go home and take one to send to you 🙂

I love your watch–it’s so perfectly stylish! In terms of wearing it for the wedding, I’m thinking that I may wear it for the ceremony, so that I get it in those pictures, and then carry it as a photo prop for any others (I think I’d like to have it in whatever “ring” shots my photographer does) and then take it off for the rest of the night, as it is pretty chunky. Maybe something like that would work for you? 🙂

@MrsBee2B:  No plans yet but I just might! I feel so weird without a watch, almost like I’ve forgotten to put on a bra or something 🙂 My Dad gave my Mum a pretty watch when I was born so it would be pretty cool if I wore that as both my something old and borrowed 🙂

@bleusteel: That’s gorgeous! So pretty and delicate, I love it 🙂 I can definitely see this watch being worn with an all-lace dress.

@MrsRevolutionize:  Can’t wait to see your pics! And thank you! It was definitely different than other watches I’ve worn (my taste is usually slender bands, small faces), but the fact that it’s different makes it feel even more special to me. Your idea sounds like it’ll work really well! I may want to take mine off, too, but I’m worried about forgetting it somewhere! Maybe I need to think about having some kind of clutch I can have on hand for that and anything else I need throughout the day…
