I am seeing a wonderful man who is 14 inches taller than me. I stand 5 feet tall (w/o heels). He stands 6’3. I love to dance, as does he. I would appreciate anyone with a thread to share which may show a similar height difference when attempting to dance.

Our height difference is quite a bit less than yours, but Fiance is about 10″ taller than I am.

I should say–I’m wearing 4″ heels in the photo! Taken last summer at one of my best friend’s weddings.

Yep, I am 5’2 and my Fiance is 6’4-6’5 so yea right around 14″ difference. We love it though!

We don’t have quite the difference you do, but it’s drastic. I’m 5’4 and my Darling Husband is 6’3, so we have about an 11″ difference. I usually don’t wear heels either. It’s fine.
It think if anything, we just end up holding each other in slightly different places then other people. Just find whatever works for you, and rock it!
(I had 2 inch wedges on here)

We have about a 9″ height difference so it’s not usually a problem (I wear heels a lot). One of my friends is 14 inches shorter than her Fiance though and she’s wearing 5.5″ heels for her wedding!

My husband and I have a 12″ difference between us and it’s kind of nice dancing with him because I can rest my head on his chest and his head doesn’t get in the way 🙂

There is only a 6 inch difference between me and my fiance. I’m 5″3 and he 5″9. One of my bridesmaids recently got engaged. She 5″ 2 and her fiance is 6″5. I have a cousin who is 4″10 and her husband 6″0.

I used to date really tall guys (now my husband is only 8″ taller) and I must say, I was a salsa and swing dancer. If you’re shorter, it’s really not hard to dance with a super tall guy–easier than dancing with a guy your own height for sure. Just wear regular ballroom heels.
And take lessons. 🙂 Lessons rock!

My Fiance is 14 inches taller than me as well. I have always dreamt of wearing flip-flops, but now I am debating getting 4-5 inch heels because they are fun. We are having an outdoor ceremony, so I don’t want my heels to get caught in the ground. I may bring heels for the reception. 🙂

I am 5’0 (in 3 inch heels here) and he is 5’11.

12″ here – I’m wearing 2″ heels for our wedding, so that helps a little bit, but I still have to get up on my tiptoes or he has to bend down to kiss me!
I love that he’s so tall though – I’ve always had a thing for tall guys!

About nine inches difference.

I am close to 5’2” and my Fiance is 6’3”…. I almost always wear flats and we never have a problem dancing! I agree with @martysgal: I definitely like having a place to rest my head when dancing, and Fiance is always happy to lean down to give me a kiss 🙂 I will be wearing flats on our wedding day and can’t wait to dance in my comft shoues!
Running together is another story 🙂 He usually gets a longer run from looping around to let me keep up! lol..

We’re about 10″+ different but in swing the lead is supposed to sink down to the follow’s level so the height is only really a slight problem in Blues and even then it’s tiny.
Both pictures are grabbed from practice and performance videos so they’re pretty fuzzy.
Here I’m in 2″ heels and he’s sunk almost as much as he’s supposed to
And then here I am in Keds
