With the state of the economy probably not but I was just wondering. If you have any info please share. Thanks.

HUD does some grants...and if your home is historic, you may qualify for other grants as well.

I don't know if they have this in other states but in MA we have the Mass Save Program.  What they did was come out and a do a free home energy audit - took almost 2 hours on our small house - very thorough.  We received $2000 credit towards putting insallation in our home (which had NONE!) and we received a interest free loan for $15,000 for new windows - ours were original to the house - 90 years old!

Check with your city! Most have websites or just call them. My city offers several home improvement, exterior work and historic home grant programs.

I agree a lot of states have energy efficient credits/rebates available.  Not always grants and loans though.

We did the energy tax credit. Google it.  It is for this year.  You can apply it towards windows, roof, AC/Heater, doors, etc.  It is up to a certain percent or amount whichever per the item.

We used it for new windows.  Also, keep in mind if you've had any bad storms in your area to check with your insurance company on wind damage to your roof.  We got a new roof last year because of damage from hurricane IKE. I didn't think we would qualify because we weren't missing any shingles and it looked fine.  But I had the insurance guy come out because other neighbors were getting new roofs.  And sure enough we qualified.  Apparently the wind gets up under the shingles and unglues them which then cause them to flap on the corners and allow mositure in.  Worth looking into.
