Less than two days out, I’m worried that I didn’ do enough for my girls. They bought their dresses from J. Crew – each got to choose their own cut and style, all the same color and fabric. Color was chosen after input from all of them in an effort to have them get a dress they would wear again and really love. I feel really confident that I succeeded. Their shoes were really inexpensive, and two girls already had the pair I chose.
Of my six girls, two of them have been at every single shower I’ve had. All of them attended by “big” bridal shower, which was thrown and hosted by three of my girls and their mothers (those three BMs are my cousins, their moms are my aunts).
For my bachelorette party, we spent a night in a hotel in a different city, spent the day at the pool, and hit the bars. I convinced them to let me buy a round of drinks, but everything else they refused to let me pay for. Three of my six bridesmaids are family.
For their gifts, I had custom handmade scarves made from Etsy. I got them each a bottle of wine that they like, a set of gold bangles, and a pair of earrings for them to wear the day-of. THe earrings were handpicked to each of their tastes, again so they can wear them again. We are paying for their hair to be done any way they choose on the wedding day, as well as paying for two hotel room suites the night of the rehearsal dinner for everyone to stay in.
Is this enough?? I feel like it’s not and I’m freaking!
