Are these place card holders worth the price?

No….they are pretty, but that’s super spendy for something so simple.  I feel like that wouldn’t be too tough to DIY if you could find enough corks.

Yeah too expensive. Definitely cheaper to DIY, plus you can customize them with whatever color or flower you want.

Ditto with the pp. An exacto knife to make the slit, a silk flower and a dab of hot glue and you are done.

Ask your friends for wine corks and DIY it yoursef. I think that’s absurd. You can probably call some fancy upscale restaraunts and see if they have any corks left over. Or you could probably just buy them online from Etsy or Ebay.

They’re kind of pretty but REALLY feminine. Maybe you could put something else on top besides a pink flower? Does your wedding have a theme?

Like if it’s beach themed you could use a seashell, or Christmas time you could use a pinecone…that sort of thing. Maybe succulants?

No one remembered my table number or place card holders! I would get something cheaper!

I read “place card holder” and “worth the price” and immediately thought no. After seeing the picture I agree they are very pretty, but I’d DIY.  I was going to do these for our wedding but lengthwise (Cut at bottom to make flat and then slit in top) but these would be way easier!

cls9q:  They are not my taste, but that doesn’t mean they might not be perfect for your wedding.

cls9q:  You don’t have to do the flowers! We made our own wine cork placeholders. We had a hard time getting a slit just right to hold the card, so we used decorative furniture pins to attach the cards. We tried several ways of doing it and settled on this:

Sorry, I don’t have a better photo. The name cards were attached with the cork behind it at a slight angle so they’d sit up (we were outside so there was a breeze).

They’re a bit tacky, honestly – def not worth hundreds of dollars.

I have never ever paid attention to a place card holder not even after my own wedding. I would rather spend that money on something else, honeymoon, bridal party stuff, etc.
