I'm getting mixed reviews from my mom and sister about these shoes.  I want to go with blue shoes and I want flats for comfort and b/c FI isn't that much taller than me.  We are having a traditional Catholic wedding, but my dress is full length.

    What do you think?

I LOVE them!  They will make for the cutest pictures and so perfect and quirky!  As long as the dress is full length no one will notice them unless you want them to -- and I would show them off all night long if those were my shoes! :)

Are you usually known for wearing funky shoes like that?  Or are you typically more reserved in your attire choices.

If the shoes are reflective of your personal style then I say go for it!

If you would normally not go for something like that, I'd say keep looking.  They may be a bit too bold and you don't want to look back on it and wonder "what was I thinking with those shoes?"

I personally am more of the later, so I say they are adorable, but they wouldn't fly for me on the wedding day.

If you love them, go for it, it's all about you being comfortable that day!

    SO. CUTE.

I say go for it! They'll make for AWESOME pictures - and if your dress is full length, you can keep it classy - and get sassy later.

I love them!  But I love polka dots in general so I may be biased.. the only thing I might add is they look a little off-white to me, so if you have a really bright white dress they might look a little drab.  That could all just be my monitor though, and even if they are a little different color they would still be awesome!

I love them. And I agree if they are you and that is what you want then why should others matter. I know that sounds harsh but it is true! I am wearing flats that have green skulls on them. I am currently looking for pink ones cause if I find them that is what I am wearing! Go for it I say!

I just read that Martha Washington wore sparkly purple beaded silk high heels for her wedding, so I can't imagine there is any such thing as wedding shoes that are too wild!

Oh how cool!  My dress is light gold/champaigne and also full lenght.  I originally had my heart set on gold/ivory flip flops until I realized that I don't walk quite as feminine in flip flops.  My FI isn't that tall either 5'9" and I'm 5'5" so I wanted to stay with flats or near flats.  Didn't ever end up finding shoes I loved until one day when my FI and I were in DSW and I saw these Steve Madden patent leather purple ballet flats!  I asked my FI, "What do you think of these, haha!?", he said he liked them and that was it.  I bought them and now I am super excited to wear them for the wedding and may even do a little kick with my foot while walking down the aisle to show them off!  I think the blue shoes you have chosen are wonderful!!!

They are adorably funky, so if you like that, go for it! Just remember that you might see your shoes a little more often than you think (ie- when you hold up your dress a little to get your groove on on the dance floor!) so just remember that a lot of people will see them & they will be in a lot of pictures.

Hmm. Honestly, I don't love them-- but then, I'm not a big fan of polka dots or flats-- so those shoes clearly were not made for meAre these too crazy/wild for wedding shoes? : wedding shoes advice opinion Icon Biggrin

If that's your style, go for it! But if you're on the fence, I'd keep looking. I bet there are loads of cute blue flats out there, and one of them is bound to be exactly what you are looking for.

Very cute and fun!  If that is what you want to wear, go for it.  Be comfortable and spunky!  And yes, the pictures will be really cute.  You can always change into these or another pair throughout the day/evening.

Considering they are under your dress and almost no one will see them until you intend them too, you are jsut fine.  When you intend people to see them, you'll be giving a little attitude or sass to a picture or friend, and htey just enhance your fun personality. Go for it chickadee!

So much fun!!  I understand where you are coming from.  My Mom almost had a heart attack when I told her I was wearing yellow shoes to match  my bridesmaids. She said "my daughter, always the different one" i.e. I hate it!

Have fun!! No one is going to see them anyway, and when they do it will be fantastic moment that hopefully the photographer will catch :)

ADORABLE!! Go for it!! I'm having the same issue, where my mom wants me to wear simple, boring white baby-doll style shoes, which is totally NOT me!! Go for what you want! They shoes really won't be seen much, unless you show them, so have fun with it!!
