I dislike rubberneckers that slow down for things like a little fender bender or anything shiny on the side of the road! A major pet peeve of mine

But I just became one, b/c after a 20 minute back up I came up to a 6-car collision so I looked and looked and looked (out of the corner of my eye)

But do you slow down and look, no matter what it is?

No, I'm always afraid if I look, I'll see something that I won't want to and not be able to forget it. So I don't look.

No I try and get as far away from it as possible so that i can speed up as soon as possible and get away from there!

However, if I am a passenger (not driving) I will take a peak ;-)

I get why we were backed up tonight! You know cones showed us the way since it's a two lane highway.  but, it drive me absolutely batty when people slow down for crap like that! OR when a they see a cop, they could be going 15 below the darn limit and still slow down! WHY BAH

I don't slow down for accidents.  I try to look at things before I have the ability to move lol.  But seriously, I'm not that keen on seeing scary things because I would probably have nightmares.

I don't slow down for accidents and a couple of months ago..I witnessed an accident involving a motorcycle and a car and came a little too close to a dead body for comfort...now I REALLY don't slow down. My FI has a motorcycle and I had nightmares for weeks about what I witnessed.

Not if I am driving. If I am driving I tell my passenger (usually FI) to look and tell me what is going on. But I totally would rubberneck if I were the passenger.

I certainly don't and it drives me batty when other people do. Seriously, there is no reason to stop or slow down. I don't even do that as a passenger either, nor do I know anyone else who does.

I'll admit that I slow down a little, but ONLY if there are people on the road or if the accident is on the highway. I'm always afraid I'll hit someone on the scene! I'm not slamming on my brakes & staring: I'm just being cautious.

I never ever look though! Like the pp's I'm afraid I'll see something disturbing!

Well chances are if there is an accident there are also police and ambulance etc present with their lights flashing.  Law here is that if lights are flashing at the side of the road you must slow down to 60km.  So yes, I do slow down.
