my wedding is saturday, my bachelorette party is Wednesday... and I know I'll be getting some nice things, but should I get some of my own things as well? So I have something I at least know I like?

How many of you bought your own?

You could buy your own for the wedding night and then save what you get at your bachelorette party for the rest of the honeymoon? It may be nice to be able to really make sure you like what you have for the wedding night.

I didn't buy lingerie necessarily (not the kind that stays on for 5 min at least) BUT I bought two silk nightie/babydoll type COMFY sexy things to wear to SLEEP. Yes, sleep. They felt great on considering i was pretty sunburnt and i felt cute. But i also didn't feel half naked either.

Yes, I bought some lingerie for both my wedding night and honeymoon.  I like being prepared.  Wink

I did, and I also discovered you can register at Fredericks of Hollywood and then let your close friends know for your bachelorette party.

I'm going to see what I get at my bachelorette party.  I definitely might buy my own depending on what I end up getting as gifts.  :)

@ejs yes I had thought about that too. Actually Kohls has some really nice little nighties, like a chemise. But I actually think my older sister got me that ;) She has been married three years and she knows what's nice to have:). And I had commented about something like that awhile back.

@miss-spunkin: My mom, aunt and FIs aunt each gave me something at my Bridal Shower but they were all the wrong size or totally not my style/what I would wear. I was able to exchange one item, a Victoria's Secret silk gown/slip for a b&w lace trimmed version in a smaller size. I figure, since I am small chested, if I don't find anything else I like and want between now and then I'll wear that on the wedding night. SO, it depends on your taste and you FIs taste.

Yep, I'm way to much of a control freak to leave this to chance.  What if you do get something gorgeous but it doesn't fit?

I had gotten some things... they did come in handy (I'm guessing) I don't think he cared much. LOL.

I say (if you have time) see what they get you and buy some if you weren't happy with it?
