That wristlet is cute, though a little too pink for my liking. πŸ™‚

I intend to carry a small clutch at my wedding, for my phone, any emergency supplies (fashion tape?) and my medication (I have hypertension and I’m anal about taking my meds at the same time each day, which will end up being right around the end of the reception). What I haven’t figured out is what I’m going to do with it during the ceremony.

I didn’t have a clutch but my venue was a hotel and we had a room upstairs. To be honest, I never once needed a phone (who’s calling you that’s not already at your wedding?), and hubs held my lip gloss in his jacket for me. I wouldn’t worry about a purse unless you think you’re going to need something like tampons or something that you wouldnt feel comfortable asking someone for. Maybe your mom or MOH can carry a small emergency kit “just in case” if you’re worried you might need something- other than that, it’s just one more thing to keep track of while you’re busy being the center of attention πŸ™‚

I will carry a clutch, but I feel naked without my purse so I have to have something.  I even have a special one that I carry when I am fishing.

I carried a purse.  Not down the aisle, obviously.  But I needed somewhere to keep the cash for the photographer and the hair and make-up person, the gift cards to pay for the reception, the car keys, the cell phone for sending out announcements of our marriage and getting congratulatory messages, etc.  I also put my opera gloves into it after the ceremony.  I wanted to take them off while eating, but didn’t want to accidentally leave them behind.

I’m carrying a clutch, but it matches my periwinkle wedding shoes.  It CALLED to me.  Thus, I’ll definitely be toating it around a lil bit on the wedding day.

I was planning on something like this:

It’s a garter with a little pouch for a tiny flask!! I don’t drink, but I think it would be darn cute and amusing. Also, just take the flask out, and it practically becomes a pocket you can wear under any dress. I’m probably going to end up making my own, but this is where I found it on Etsy, and the seller says she’ll do customs:

I had my dad carry my lip gloss so I could put it on right before the ceremony.  Our ceremony and reception were in the same place, so I just ditched a shopping bag of my crap under one of the tables.

I had a clutch but everyone else ended up carrying it for me πŸ™‚

I personally think it’s unnecessary – I’ll just be leaving my regular purse locked in the bridal suite.

Definitely make sure that you have credit cards/ID’s/cash with you though, because FI and I were staying the night at a hotel once where the couple didn’t have anything on them and therefore couldn’t check into their honeymoon suite — bride was in tears sitting in the middle of the lobby(/yelling at the hotel employees, lol)… we happened to be walking by over an hour later when their parents showed up to save the day. So make sure to bring $!
