I'm still undecided!  I'm 28 and FI's 33 so we don't even have very many single friends any more!

i prob will wear a garter but i don't think we are doing the garter toss. Just not my thing i guess. I might still do the bouquet toss though. (all women) Even if you don't have many single friends you could still invite ALL women and ALL guys out to catch it just for fun ( no weird dance or pictures for the guy/ girl that does catch it either)

Some brides even attach gift certificates to the garter / bouquet and make more of a game / incentive to participate...again regardless of marital status :)

My option wasn't available.  NO to garter (I find it SO tacky), but YES to the bouquet.

I think a garder might make a weird lump under my dress (since it's fitted) plus I don't want to worry about it sliding down around my ankles during the day.

I don't really like garder/bouquet tosses. I think they seem a little dated (althought bouquet tosses don't bother me as much).

My step mom is insisting on a garter toss but i find it... well... a little embarrassing. Plus, we have a 2 year old anyhow so its not like i'm even trying to pretend I'm a virgin. lol

I think we'll probably do both for the tradition side of things.

Ours was a same-sex wedding, so we had two bouquets and two garters.  None of them got tossed.

I'm not doing a garter, but am going to walk over nonchalantly to my unmarried bff and just hand her the bouquet quietly when nobody's looking...except maybe her long time bf.  Unless I think she'd pummel me.  Heck i just want him to ask her!!!!

I don't think the garter toss would be ok at our reception.  We'd have already been married a whole week and back from the familymoon.  I won't even consider it unless T insists on doing that.  but I seriously doubt he would.  ??  I'd feel kinda creepy having him do that at the reception with the kids there you know.

I am having my garter made in the colors of the FI's fav sports team, the Chicago Bulls and he can toss. We have some single friends and it'll be fun to see.

I never heard of attaching gift cards, but that sounds fun! I'm having a Cincinatti Bengals garter (the FI football team), but I'm going to say they practically begged me to take the garter because who wants Bengal merchandise? :-)

I'm doing both - but FI will not be removing a garter from me.... if anything, we'll just have it there to toss.  We also don't have a lot of  single friends (nor do I care to single them out) - so we are opening it up to whomever wants to do some catching (and adding a gift card to each, for more incentive).

I'm not doing the garter toss; it's never been a tradition that I've particularly liked. It just seems kind of embarassing, with my guy getting all up under my dress in front of my entire family (a lot of whom are very conservative)! I will do the bouquet toss though!

I'll probably wear a garter for the tradition.. also it will be an easy something blue!

I'm not doing the bouquet or garter toss.  At my cousin's wedding in high school my 17-year-old boyfriend caught the garter and had to put it on a much older woman (who caught the bouquet).  I feel like it's rubbed me the wrong way ever since lol.

I like the idea or giving the "toss bouquet" to the parents or grandparents.

We did both but added a little something to it.  We gave a gift card to Bath and Body to the lady that caught the bouquet and a gift card to Home Depot to the guy who caught the garter!!!!

Oh we aren't doing the tradition of where the guy who catches the garter and the girl who catches the bouquet dance or anything. Just tossing for the giggles. :-)
