Yay! Good job, bees πŸ™‚

I am selling some stuff on Craigslist and we are going to have a yard sale in May.

Also, we are going to make 6 rain barrels next week and try toget $65 for them. (bought 55 gallon barrels for $10 ea)

We had success last year at going to yard sales then re-selling items on Craigslist or eBay for more $ than we paid. I felt a little guilty – but hey, we gave them their asking price at the yard sale! Not our fault people want to pay more πŸ™‚  My mom always said – work smarter, not harder!

we’re just trying to eat out less. it’s amazing how much money we spend on food+drinks. we still go out, just not as often as before πŸ™‚

I started babysitting on the side to use as “fun spending” $ for things like my shower dress, rehearsal dinner dress, and new honeymoon attire!

I’m a teaching assistant at the local university.  It’s an online class, so it doesn’t take up too much time.  I just grade submitted assignments and such.

I tried to sell Avon for a while, but it didn’t work out so well.  Now I’m wishing I could be an event planner, or at least sell custom inspiration boards, on the side.  I’m a full time student, already working 1/2 time and I’m president of 2 student organizations, which leaves little time for making extra money Frown

thanks for posting this..I was already thinking that I was being silly…I’m having a “wedding fund” yard sale fundraiser next week…I know I won’t be making thousands or anything, but if I can make enough to buy some DIY supplies, then I’m happy!! Good luck to the money raising bees out there!!

We are getting rid of stuff using Ebay. We have already made $200 some in just a day or so!

I’m teaching spinning and Pilates at a local gym. Not that I’m necessarily putting my extra earnings toward the wedding, but I have gotten a few new pairs of shoes recently Innocent

I’m doing a couple of things. I proctor exams on the weekend and I sell on ebay. What I do on ebay will be turned into an online store next year, but for now it’s to earn extra cash. I primarily sell dresses. I also just got a raise at work and that money will also go into savings. I’m debating moving in with my mom to further save more money! Drastic, but FI and I are paying for the wedding and they are very expensive in NYC so you do what you gotta do πŸ™‚

I already had one full time job and one part time job. I was hoping to phase out the part time work but I’m going to keep it up for awhile longer.

To save money, I am extreme couponing (check out http://www.southernsavers.com , not shopping for fun, cutting back on starbucks, and being very thrifty and DIY with the projects. The flea marker is my new fave place and I am going to Discount Fabric Warehouse this weekend!

I rented out a room in our house to a friend that came over from the UK for work.  It’s enough to cover the increased costs of a 3rd person (city taxes and increased water/electricity/food) AND the rest is for the wedding!

I thought about selling stuff on Queens Day (it’s like a fleamarket on steroids where the dutch literally sell garbage they’re too lazy to take to the dump) but I can’t be bothered with staking out a good spot and trying to haul my stuff to that location come the 30th. πŸ˜‰
