I used to wear the dangly ones all the time in the sun until I got a really weird tan line right below my belly button from it lol. Fun as a surprise in the bedroom for sure but just a little something to watch out for in addition to it catching on things.

Ooooh I had never thought about that – fun! I seriously haven’t changed my belly ring in YEARS, that would definitely be a nice surprise for your hubby 😀

At my last fitting, I told my seamstress I was still looking for a bracelet, and she told me about this cool trick to make sure it won’t snag on my satin dress: bring a cotton ball with you when you’re shopping for jewelry, and rub the cotton ball against it. If it snags onto the cotton ball, it will snag on your clothes! I imagine it will work the same for a belly ring.

Any dangling belly ring can get caught. When I was 17 I almost lost mine to sliding shower doors when I was getting in. That hurt. A lot!

If you do get a dangly one, I’d only wear it at certain times and change back to a stud when no one will be seeing your stomach.

@WineAndCupcakes:  good trick.

I never thought of getting new jewelry. I wear a plain 8ga barbell.  I don’t know if I would get something new for my navel; but mabe something sparkly for another piercing.

I got a dangely one for the beach but keeping my round one for the ceremony so it’s don’t get caught on my dress.  Or you could tap it down and slip the tap off before you go home or back to your room wedding night. 🙂

Dangly ones can pull on the actual hole and stretch it out if they are too heavy. I also got weird tan lines from them, and they pulled on my clothes and broke very easily. I would maybe wear one while you are on the beach in your bikini and then take it out when you get dressed up or go to bed so it doesn’t get caught on anything.

That’s what I do and it works!
