We are having my cousin's son who is 2 as our ringbearer and FI's nieces (2 and 4) to be our flowergirls. They are wearing cute white linen dresses and we are wrapping a purple sash around the dresses to match the bridesmaids.
We are not.. simply bc I want our son to be the only child in the wedding party! But I love that dress for your FG that is so so cute!!
We are having two flower girls (ages 4 and 4) and my FI's nephew (age 3.5). We also wanted the girls to get something that they could wear after. Our ring bearer will be wearing a similar tux to the groomsman that he'll be renting from men's wearhouse. The wedding party is all in yellow (our colors are fuchsia and lemon yellow) and the flowergirls will be in these dresses carrying pomanders that we made from yellow pink and white flowers.

@missmouse29: That dress is so adorable!
We are having a flower girl - our puppy (she's 2 but still looks like a puppy) Chloe be ours :)
That is the cutest dress! We are only having one because it will be my youngest sister. :) (She is 14 years younger, I.E. under 10).
I love love love unique flower girl dresses. The plain white fru-fru ones do nothing for me.
To answer your question, we are not having any flower girls. We don't really have any young girls in our life that could fill the role and I would never just recruit someone to do it to be able to say we had one (I know people who have done this). Besides, my 6 year old cousin is our RB and he's the most adorable kid on the planet (yes, I'm biased) so there's plenty of cute to go around.
Our wedding party is small. We are not big fans of children and in our culture, we have to pay for wedding party. I don't want too have big expense on the wedding party.
We were going to have two and their families both can't come.
Day of--we may ask the two little girls (though one is not so little anymore and may not want to!)
So... no dress code for them!
First off let me say how stinking cute is that dress???
My niece was our flower girl. She was 18 months or so at the wedding and it was a risk, but she was quite entertaining and I knew what I was getting into lol. Her dress was similar to mine, because our ring bearer (DH's son) wanted to dress just like his Daddy, so we carried it through.

We are having our daughter who will be a little over 2 and my cousin who will be 7 help her down the aisle! We will have my friends son who will be almost 2 as our ring bearer :)
@MissMouse29 - LOVE that dress, looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Our flower girl is my close friend's three-year-old daughter. She is very excited about getting to be the "beautiful princess in Heather's wedding." We found her dress at Burlington Coat Factory.
@organizedbride11: , @spinningstars: , @mwitter80:, @AmeliaBedelia:,
@Miss Chloe:, thanks! it took us forever(FG, her mom, g-ma & I) to find a dress that we all liked and fit the bill. Of course, the little fg's main concern was twirl power :P.
I'll definitely post pictures of the finished product once it is done.
I am totally with you on that, after looking at poofy white dress after poofy white dress (for myself) the last thing I wanted to see were miniature poofy white dresses. Kids are supposed to have fun!
haha I have definitely seen that before, but since our 5 year old son was already going to be there (I mean really, who excludes their own kids?) and our moh's daughter is bff's with him, we figured we might as well include her. And at the very least the two of them can entertain each other. ;)
My daughter and her bff (the little girl I do daycare for) will be my flower girls. They're both 2. Anything could happen, I don't have high expectations. They're wearing an orange and fuchsia satin halter dress with a white shrug over.
we are having our daughter who will be almost 18 months and my 9 year old niece....like most brides with little childres I am not sure what to expect, I just hope that we can say our vows without having her in our arms but saying that it would also be very special to have her right there with us, we love her so much!
i am having my two neices - ages 2.5 and 5. they will be wearing this dress from jcrew, but i also ordered pink sashes for them - http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Navigation/Sale/AllProducts/PRDOVR~31772/99102175209/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~20+19+4294966785~90~~~~~~~/31772.jsp
@mwitter80 she is ADORABLE!!! i also love the little boy in that white jacket. so cute!
aw that is sweet :)
you could always ask a good friend or close family member to be "in charge" of your daughter in the event of boredom or fits or anything.
I am making sure to have some distractions nearby for the kids so that if they get bored or rowdy they can saunter off about 10-25 feet away and distract themselves with toys and activities etc. ;)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
We are! Our MOH has a sweet as pie 4 year old who is bffs with our 5year old (ringbearer), and this is the dress (pattern) we picked out:
we wanted to pick something that the little girl could wear after the fact and that would break the bank to make or buy.
How about you ladies (and gents), having or not having small attendant? What are your flower girls wearing?
