I love burger and fries with little cans of Coke. So cute! I also went to a wedding that had popcorn bar and pizza.

we served frozen custard in cones from hubby’s hometown.  Is there something from your hometown that would be a neat treat?

I love the idea of donuts, coffee, cupcakes, or something else that’s relatively simple and small.  I went to a wedding last year where there was a huge spread of food (sandwiches, cookies, almost a whole meal, really) set out at the very end of the reception as a midnight snack, and it was almost totally untouched because people were still full from dinner and all the food was just overwhelming.  A little sweet treat might be more popular.

We are doing sliders, mini hotdogs, fried mac and cheese, tamales, and chocolate covered strawberries!  I’m so excited!

We were thinking of doing french fries at the end of the night, but the way the timing has worked out, that would only be an hour and a half or so after cake cutting. is that too soon do you think? im thinking of nixing  now even tho i LOVE the idea…

Did someone say midnight snack? I’m there, man!

We aren’t sophisticated enough for a "snack" lol. There will be…beverages though =]

My cousin did a midnight buffet at her wedding with cold cuts, cheese, olives…all that yummy stuff. If we do one, it’ll be buffalo wings (Mr H’s fave), cheese (I’m a cheesaholic), and some hors d’ouevres…bacon-wrapped scallops etc. yummy!

I’m trying to convince my fiancee to do McD’s chicken nuggets and double cheeseburgers.  He’s resisting even though he loves eating both.  He thinks it’ll be a hassle, but I think he underestimates how drunk and hungry people will be at midnight.  🙂

We might have the caterer slice up the leftover cake and put it in boxes for people instead.  I’m fairly certain we’ll have leftovers…

We can’t have one!!!!

We could only rent our venue for so many hours (10) and that is it. The cake will be cut and set out plus we are having the local coffee shop deliver coffee to enjoy with the cake.

I am sad now, I love burgers and donuts!

Hey, I love all these ideas–yum!! How do you decide how much to serve for the late-night snack? Does the food vendor help you decide, or is there a good rule of thumb, like maybe have enough to feed 75% of the guests? Or do you count on everyone eating it?

We are having a late-night grilled cheese bar.  We will have different kinds of cheese, tomato, bacon, and other fillings to choose from!  We will be serving fries on the side.  I’m very excited about this…my fiance and I would always make grilled cheese at the end of drunken nights in college, and many of our friends will remember this – I think it is a fun way to incorporate some of the memories from the beginning of our relationship!
