If I had a bunch of extra chargers layin around the house I would but if I had to pay for them I wouldn’t do it.  I think my money can be spent in better places.  If my guests need chargers that badly during my wedding then they should have thought about it before the came and should put the phone down for a while and actually enjoy the day without being attached to their phone.

I dunno if it’s a regional thing…I’m in the South (Texas) and down here it seems like having chargers is a given. We’re having a very formal wedding so I’m sure that plays a role, too. To me–just my opinion–a table doesn’t look fully “set” without them. Good luck!

I did – we made them out of cedar slices – and I loved them.  They really added a lot to the decor.

I’m having them, but probably wouldn’t if I had to pay a ton. One of my girlfriends who got married last year purchased over 100 in the exact style I want, so is letting me use them for my wedding. I’m not sure they would be that important to me – go on pinterest and put in wedding tables no chargers, lots of other options with a fun menu/napkin style.

alyssaC:  I think she means chargers as in service plates as a part of the place settings, not for phones 🙂

happycamper8:  I don’t have any part of my tablescape set up yet (wedding is in 2016) but I guess it would depend on how pulled together my place settings looked without them!

I would have gotten them if I could get them for a cheap price [like $1 each]. I missed them around christmas when the dollar tree had them. I won’t pay more than $1 each as they aren’t very important to me. We are having a semi formal wedding so I’m not super concerned.

I’ve never been to a wedding with chargers- I can tell you wholeheartedly that I’ve never given it a second thought.  Honestly I think the whole idea is a bit silly.

bought them on ebay for about a dollar a piece.  If anyone needs 150 gold chargers…

Its an extra charge for us so I do want them but if its too expensive then I won’t.

I think its a wasteful thing to spend money on. No one will notice they aren’t there!

Chargers are heavy and cumbersome and your caterers are more likely to drop something when having to deal with them. it makes it so you can only clear two plates at a time (instead of three or four for an experienced server who can rest them on their arms – without stacking) which may slow down the timeline of your meal. Just something to consider!

Nope. Takes up extra room on the table and our tables are already filled to the max.
