@badabing88:  Obviously his “type” hadn’t worked out. Clearly he picked the wrong type until he met you! 🙂

Yea, I couldn’t be anymore different than SO’s ex.  The only similar about us is that we’re female lol.  But based off of celebrities he finds attractive, I’m definitely his type.  Pale skin, dark hair, colored eyes, curvy.  Think: Katy Perry, Alison Brie, Zooey Deschanel.  I mean, those three could be sisters!  He definitely has a type and I’m confident I am it.

Also, his ex is way into partying and clubbing and that’s so not him.  We’re more homebodies and that suits us both.

@badabing88:  The girls Shawn’s dated in the past have been total “badasses”. I am not a badass.. I think I’m tough, but I’m really a big baby. But he and I have this incredible dynamic that would never have worked with other people. We have mutual respect for each other, encourage each other to be awesome, and make each other better people. No one else has ever done that for me. He’s definitely my type 🙂

I am most of what he was looking for, but I am so different from the girl he dated longest (I say girl because it was high school/early college). But, she started using drugs, cheated on him, them dumped him over email. So, he definitely wanted different

@badabing88:  I felt the same way in the beginning on my relationship with SO.  His previous (serious) relationship was with a girl who was 5’1” and rail thin.  She looked like she was about 14 years old to me!  I, of course, am the opposite!  I am 5’5” and about 155lbs with definite curves, hips, and boobs!  He assured me since the beginning that I am actually his type and she wasn’t!  He consistantly says how much he likes my curves!  In this beginning I used to worry about it, but I have stopped lately because it really doesn’t seem like he is looking at anyone else!  I am sure your SO only has eyes for you 🙂

Definitely. Laid-back, outdoorsy, cute, not into fancy clothes or tons of makeup = BAM! 🙂

He’s my type too – scruffy, outdoorsy, kind, funny, not macho.

@badabing88:  Yea, don’t sweat it.  People can appreciate different looks and styles but compatibility and chemistry is where it’s at!

I’m pretty much the opposite of my SO ex’s.  They’re all petite with light hair and eyes, super skinny, not very educated, not career driven at all, they all liked to party, and as he likes to put it they were all “batshit crazy.”  I’m tall (5’10) black hair, dark eyes, university grad, very career focused, and not a drama queen, which all his ex’s appear to be.  I’ve asked him in the past why he ever wanted to go out with me and he said because I was the opposite of his ex’s and exactly what he was looking for.  His ex’s filled that fun party time he wanted when he was younger but he said when he met me he was looking for someone to settle down with and besides thinking I was very attractive I had the personality he was looking for, calm, relaxed, etc. he says I balance him where he’s ex’s just drove him up the wall and stressed him out all the time.  As he put it “they were all high-maintenance and I’m just not and he couldn’t be happier about that.”

@badabing88:  I’m bigger, and I’m girl next door pretty. Not stunning, but not entirely unfortunate looking. My style is so not girly though. I wear black, blue, and gray mostly, I don’t do my hair, and I don’t wear makeup

The fact that you’re different shows that you’re not gonna be another of the ex’s and you will stand out 🙂

I doubt I was my husbands type when we met. He had a key chain and a t shirt about boobs and I had no boobs (I owe that to my beautiful daughter). He admitted he was a boobs guy but he became a butt guy when we started dating (I have a decent butt and legs). Now that my boobs are coming back he’s a boob guy again lol.

But his ex’s are all the girls that shop at American Eagle, super tan and always getting their nails done etc. I’m pale as can be, met him wearing DC clothing (favorite store is pacsun) and was a nail biter when we met so yeah I’d guess I was not his type. But I’m the one and only girl he ever thought to marry and here we are married and so happy.

TBH he wasn’t my type really when we met either. I mean I was instantly attracted to him and liked him but before him I was never into body hair but have become obsessed since we started dating 🙂

@badabing88:  I have no idea. To be honest, I don’t tihnk I am ANYONE’S type, because I look pretty different from a lot of people (unless mixed is your type, which I generically fit, and which a lot of guys actually do go for, whatever)

I know I’m not fi’s “type” 😛 I fit the brunette catagory, but aside from that, we jsut got along really well, made each other laugh, and fell in love in a not physical way. Personally, I prefer that to checking off a bunch of boxes on hight and weight and skin tone, but whatevs 😛
