I'm not in a LDR, but I will still vote for it. I have been in one before and know how hard it can be! Having a board is a great idea 
i'm not right now, but i was for the first 2 years of mine and FI's relationship! i think a LDR board is a great idea!

I voted too. We were in a LDR at the beginning of our relationship.
I think it is a great idea, because not only are there emotional struggles in a long distance relationship, but it makes wedding planning a lot more complicated!
I'll vote for it too! I couldn't do what you girls do- I've tried it before and it made me absolutely insane. Y'all are so, so strong!
Thankfully I'm not too long distance. (3 hours) but it is REALLY hard sometimes. I'm pouting tonight b/c I don't get to see him this weekend.
I think its a great idea! Were not in a LDR anymore but for the first two years of our relationship we were long distance (me in CA and him in PA for school). We only dated for 3 months before he went back to school and we stayed together the entire time (and got married!). It was really hard hearing stuff from people at work that it would never work out. I wish I could find them all now and show them they were wrong :) Im going to vote on it now!
Thanks for bringing this up! We're in a long distance relationship, and will be until the May before we get married! I'd love a board for LDRs.
I was in an LDR once in my life and I hated it and it didn't last very long at all... I don't think I could ever be in one but it seems people that can do it are in really loving relationships! ^_^
Only 2 weeks and 1 more day for me!!!!! But yes, there should be an LDR board. We have unique relationship needs for sure!!!
I've been in a LDR for over 3 years now! We live in 2 different countries... its takes anywhere from 8-15 hours in travel time to get to each other.
I can't wait until next summer when we can finally spend every day together. In 3 years we've spent 171 days together & about 1200 hours on the phone. For real. lol
Totally voting now! We've rocked the LDR for our entire 21 month relationship and will until the wedding so I feel for you ladies!
What a great idea! I've been in two long term LDR's and it would have so nice to have someone around who knew what I was going through. I am so glad the FI got a job here and those days are behind us...and excited for all those people who are counting down to erasing the distance gap!
Yes we have been apart for a year and a half, and after we are married I still have one more year to finish my residency. It's very hard we see each other about twice amonth..but its so expensive and its so hard..
Yes...we are only 3 hours away but when dealing with careers, kids, etc...it can seem like 3 times as far away. We are on the last leg now and it is driving us crazy...December can't get here fast enough.
i'm in a long distance relationship right now....my fiance is going to university about 6 hours away=( we're doing great, we miss each other, but it's managable.

My relationship isn't really long-distance. He's about two hours away, but it's a pain in the ass when you live on top of a hill (college) and can't afford a car. May as well be long distance, since I can't drive to see him. =P We went to school together for a while, but he graduated and is working on his PhD. We're actually fine. We like our personal space, so seeing each other once or twice a month is sort of nice and sort of depressing at the same time. We each get our alone time to do what we want or need (of course, I have ten term papers, so alone time is not fun for me - once he's done with research at 5, he's done for the day, but I'm stuck with work all the time 
), but then when we actually need human contact on those rare occassions, tough luck.
I am (I'm in Texas, he's in Australia) and it has its difficulties for sure! Getting us married and me over there is going to be a long process. Right now we're starting long distance wedding planning and it's going to take a lot of patience, I can see that already. It will be worth it in the end, but oy! Will we ever decide on a venue, much less anything else?

We were together for the first 10 months of our relationship. He had to go back to the US so we could start the K1 application (fiancé visa). Over the last five months we've only spent 6 weeks together when we used to be together all the time. We live exactly 3002 miles away from each other and I find it really hard especially since I'm not aloud in the US until my visa gets approve.
I'd be great to have a LDR forum because it's really hard to explain to people that are not in that situation.
I'm not but I was over the summer and then for 2 years before that, so I feel all your LDR bee's pain! I think a board is a great idea, since there's definitely some challenges that are unique to your situation!
Yes, I have been with my bf for over six years, in a ldr for about 1.5 years. But thankfully we will be in the same city again.
YES! This is such a great idea! My FI and I have been long-distance our entire relationship (almost 2 years) and will be for only another 6 months :) At the beginning we were only 3 hours driving and now we are 10 hours driving distance (1 hour flight) due to me finishing graduate school in a different state.
Having our own board would be really helpful....I'm on weddingbee so much because I can't hang out with my FI whenever I want to.
FABULOUS idea. My FI and I live 3 hours apart right now - have since we first met. Soo glad we didn't get between us, but...wow, it's SO diffrent then anything I was ever in before him. As soon as he settles into his new job, my children & I are moving to where he lives - I can't WAIT! hah
I am in a long distance relationship because I am away attending nursing ( we get to see each other often but it still hard)..............A LDR broard would be amazing! I cannot wait for July 2010 when I graduate and move back to Fort lauderdale to be with my baby!
I'm in an LDR too. He's in the Air Force, stationed in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and I live back home in StL.

FI is in Sweden, I am in California. We just started gathering info for our K1 Visa... makes me want to cry. We already set a date and booked a place, so now I have added stress that we won't get our paperwork cleared in time! YIPES! I vote yes to LDR board!
