We're doing a cardbox. Bought it Michaels... I'm not craftey enough to make one.
yeah, I never knew about them until people started asking 'what will you do for your card box?
mine will be wrapped in birch bark with flowers.......or a bird house
I had a cardbox made out of picture frames. We displayed our favorite engagement pics in it and it still sits in our home to display them and house certain goodies. ;)
I was going to DIY one, but then my parents found a beautiful one and bought it for us. It had a name plaque on the top and a lock with a beautiful key and tassel key chain.
I made mine ... I will post pics of it once I can stand looking at it again (the project ended up way more time consuming and involved than I anticipated)
@MrsKtoBe - Wow! I like that idea!! I've never seen that before!
We used a vintage train case ...if you look close at this pic, you'll see it off to the side! i made a sign in a picture frame that looked vintage too
@amanda.lynn: Thanks so much! I think it is a really elegant variation on the traditional cardbox...
I got a lot of compliments on it. And I still do because it is displayed in our home. That's what I like best about it - it wasn't just a "wedding item"... Also it is on a swivel so I can easily turn it every day to feature a different side/photo.
@mrsk2be: I love those photo boxes too!!! and like you said, you can use it!

If so, are you buying or making them?
I don't even remember seeing cardboxes at weddings before, but I guess they must have been there? Should have paid more attention :)
