I want to DIY mine too! I hope some of the bees out there can help us with tips, encouragment and pics!
If I decide to wear one I will! I'm still torn on the issue, but it looks so easy and there is NO way I'm paying 100-1000 dollars for tulle!
I am making mine myself but its really simple. I just picked the lenght of tulle that I liked trimmed off the square edges and then stitched it to a comb. Simple and easy
I'll be doing the same! I'm also making the jewellery for my bridesmaid and myself :)
These are photos of a wire and beaded 'cage' that I made for my university formal!
I DIYed my veil and it really wasn't too bad. Regular bridal tulle is relatively inexpensive (like $2-$3/ yard) and I used a pattern to make mine. It tends to get expensive if you add embellishments like lace/beading- but even then I'm sure you can always plan ahead and buy it when it goes on sale to save some $$$.

I definately plan on doing this myself, once I know what my dress is going to look like. I have seen beautiful ones on Etsy...Can anyone post some pics of their very own handmade veil/headpiece creations? I love to see DIY stuff! Thanks y'all!
