I was worried about costs, so I went to David’s Bridal. They have TONS of dresses for around $200-250 and they also have $99 sales throughout the year.

I am not into most wedding dresses because they are so fancy, and that’s not me…but I likes this one from DB for $250 and I plan to resell it and get at least $100 back.

I think the dress you are wearing is really pretty, natural, feminine and looks perfect for a casual wedding! You’ll be amazing in it. =)

I dont think it’s weird are all. My friend bought a bridesmaid dress for her wedding. It’s whatever you feel more comfortable in.

I’m not wearing a formal white wedding dress, but I am wearing a prom dress.  I just prefer the color to the solid white.

Oh I just noticed your request for pictures!  Here’s the dress I’m considering:

I could have checked a bunch of things up there! We are having a budget wedding so I’m concerned about cost. Also, our ceremony/reception will be in my parent’s backyard in the suburbs, so it’ll have a really casual feel to it. I’d feel quite silly in a huge ball gown at our backyard wedding. Third, I secretly think I am NOT a gown girl.

I love these dresses from BCBG:

And I am considering this dress from David’s Bridal as well:

@xoxokristin – I almost went with that first BCBG dress!  However, after I tried on my current “real” wedding dress, I fell in love & changed my mind. Although, I’m still in love with that dress!

I am actually wearing one of my best friends who is 20 years my senior’s sophomore prom dress form 1983. Confusing much? Anyway it looks much more like a wedding dress than prom. It is ivory with layers of lace on the bottom and lace around the shoulders-very vintage. I am going to have it altered some to give it a more modern  look. I couldn’t be more excited!
