wow that sounds really cool! Nope, not using a thing I have lol You should def post pix of the outcome though!
I am not using anything "I" own pe se, but my FMIL is offering to grow flowers in her garden for us to use for decorations! I thought that was super sweet :)
My vases. My grandmother and I are very close but she will not be able to be at our beach wedding as she is in a nursing home. When I graduated college she gave me her collection of beautiful heirloom quality milk glass vases. I am using them as my centerpieces.
Yes--for our favor display, we're using cake plates and platters that my mom and I already own. I kind of collect decorative display pieces, so it's cool that I finally get to use them!
Yep, we used cake plates for our cake table, vases I already owned to hold the bouquets, and some votive holders I already owned.
Well, this is the venue that we hope to have - the wedding itself is two years or more down the road though. We would like the ceremony to be candlelit and held in front of the parlor fireplace.
I should also mention that we also have use of the grounds for photos and that there are 13 beautiful rooms for our guests to use if they choose to stay the night.
That venue is gorgeous!
I know for sure I plan on using my own cake stand that I already own (my sister is making my cake, so I can make sure it will fit, haha). Other than that I don't think we have plans on using anything we already own. But that may change as we start doing more planning!
I used a fishbowl from my parents' attic for our wedding wish bowl...I can't think of anything else at the moment.
I'm wering shoes i already own!lol! And i'musing my mom's dress to make my veil. That house/venue is absolutly AMAZING!
i will probably wear shoes that i already own and uses glassware and centerpieces from my company... I am toying around with the idea of using my mom's cake topper as some sort of decor.
I LOVE your venue. I have a very similar wedding style. I also will be incorporating birdcages, candles and flowers, but also putting birds in the mix....so I LOOOVVVEE your style as well (hehe). I'll be looking forward to seeing how you pull everything together.
As far as using things I already have, I will be using some brooches I already own for bouquet handles (charms) just to add a little sparkle and vintage feel.
I can't think of anything I'm using that I already have, but I just wanted to say that the Inn is gorgeous!
yes, I'm using old Easter baskets for bathroom baskets and my MIL's birdcage for our cards...I was going to reuse a pillow for the ring pillow but caved to peer pressure ;)
Also, I used some things from friends and only wore jewelry I already owned...

I am planning a vintage/shabby chic wedding - hopefully, in a 100 year old Inn with beautiful woodwork etc. in the parlour and drawing room. I am planning on using things like bird cages, flowers, candles etc.
Is anyone else using, to some degree, things that they already own in their ceremony/reception? If so, what?
