Yes I did and they looked awesome! :) I wish they weren't such a pain I'd do it all the time. I am not a very girly person either, I rarely wear make up and I totally recommend the eyelashes!

I'm not a makeup person, so that would have been way too much for me. Plus, we were watching a wedding show where the girl wore fake lashes, and my hubby made it very obvious that he didn't like them and thought they were weird.

Yes, they really made my eyes pop!  And they were very comfortable... if they're applied correctly, you hardly notice them at all.  :)

I wore them - they looked great and natural enough.  They were these individual little clusters of lashes that the makeup lady glued on separately.  If you're having a good makeup artist apply them, you can't go wrong.

Only thing - they are kind of hard to remove.  I'd suggest packing some heavy duty oily eye make up remover.  You can use soap and water to get them off but it takes a lot of rubbing and you end up with soap in your eyes.

I was planning on it, but by the time she finished mascara i didn't need them! I have really long eyelashes to begin with. When i was a baby they were so long i singed them on my b-day candles lol!

I think as long as they look natural- go for it! And make sure you are using the same products you have used in the past. You wouldn't want to have any irritation from the glue. I found out in college i was allergic to a certain kind- ended up with a nice red kinda swollen eye the next day- not fun!

Yep, and they looked freaking fantastic. My husband would've been skeezed out if I'd warned him ahead of time, but neither he nor anybody could tell once I had them on. They looked very natural. They feel uncomfortable at first if you use the kind that need a separate glue, but after a few minutes you forget they're there. I kind of want to wear them every time I get dressed up, they're that awesome.

Where does one purchase the good false eyelashes? Or is it something in the makeup artist's bag of tricks? They sound like a fantastic idea, but not sure where to access them; being married in a small town with not many pro makeup options.

I've been practicing with falsies lately. I'm going to DIY my makeup and hair, so I want to get good with them now.

I recommend getting some cheap pairs (eyeslipsface.com sells them for a buck) and wear them on occasion for going out and stuff.

I won't be wearing false lashes. I have been using Loreal Lash Boosting Serum and have really noticed a difference with that. I don't really need the false lashes anymore. A lot of people, including my FI have noticed a difference with the length and the fullness of my lashes, since I started using this product. You can see my original post about it here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/lashes-oh-my

@JessicaL: Sure thing, here are a few of me wearing the falsies, I hope these are helpful to you. These are the kind that go on in one solid strip, not the kind you glue on individually. (My makeup artist said that those individual ones sometimes start to fall over or look bent by the end of the night).

@LittlestBirds: When my makeup lady did my indivduals, they held for almost 2 days and I still had to pull them off when I got sick of them. They were held so fast that I pulled out some of my own eyelashes. Im sure there is some kind of remover, I just got impatient and yanked them off.

i usually don't wear eyeliner or eyeshadow, just mascara. since my mascara is pretty thick, it makes my eyes bigger without any other eye makeup. and i look fine with just mascara.

HOWEVER!!!!!! people started posting photos of me on my wedding day on facebook the day after the wedding, so, for a few days, i was looking at only photos of me taken at the wedding and i had fake lashes on. then, a few days later, my sister posted a few photos taken during the rehearsal dinner, in which i was wearing my usual make up with only mascara on my eyes, and i looked like i just woke up from sleep and hardly had any make up on!! it was all because of the fake lashes that i wore on my wedding day that made the difference.

soooooo, i'd urge you to wear them because they'll make your eyes POP!

Fake (but natural looking) lashes are amazing!

They just fill in the gaps and add a very nice pop to the eyes.

You can't go wrong if they are applied correctly!!

I wore them and loved them! I would recommend the little individual flares though, not the strip lashes, because they just look more natural. Also, ONLY USE DUO glue--you can get it at the MAC counter.  Other glues take weeks to come off, even with the "remover."  Mine held all day, through tears and sweat, and came off easily when I washed my face.  I think they give you a little something extra that you just can't get with mascara--I have falsie length lashes to begin with and still felt they were necessary for that extra pop.

I never thought i would but at my trial the artist convinced me to try them (the little ones in individual clumps) and i LOVED the effects. And they still looked natural too. However, for those of you pulling or rubbing them off- probably not a good idea! My hair and makeup person said that doing that can damage your natural lashes...you just have to let them come off on their own which is usually over 2-3days (some of mine lasted 5 days...)

I bought them and intended to but decided not to use them the day before. Similar to artbee above, I don't often wear make up and FI had seen someone witht hem on TV or somehting and expressed his dislike. I think he would have never figured it out but my makeup artist also didn't think I needed them so that made my decision.

I used them.  My lashes are pretty short.  I have played around with fake lashes for a couple years so I knew how to apply them.  I bought a drug store brand and they worked fine.  I was a little worried that they might not stay on but they did.  I carried glue with me in my clutch but if I had a problem with them I probably would have just taken them off.  My main goal was that they would last until the reception but they lasted all night!

Yes, I did!  I have long, thick bangs that tend to eat my mascara.  By the end of the day, it's all gone.  I didn't have to worry about that with falsies.

I was disappointed that they didn't last, though.  My makeup artist said they would stay on up to two weeks if I used Cetaphil to wash my face, instead of a foaming cleanser.  Well, they came right out the night of the wedding.  I was hoping to keep then on for our honeymoon.
