Yeah... I totally picked my favorites black and white with small red accents. Mine is in november sooo it kinda goes with my season I think. I love them though so I don;t care.
They're my favorite colors right now... but that will change again, it always does for me. I hope I don't regret them one day.
Navy is my FH's favorite color. And I decided to accent it with pale pink for the feminine edge. He INSISTED we use Navy so... *shrug*
My favorite color is white (FI always jokes that white isn't a color, but hey its got its own crayon in the crayon box!) and our accent color is green. We are getting married outside and I just envishioned all the white amongst the green grass & trees & my FI's favorite color is green too!
I picked my fav's too. a purple called victorian lilac, white and silver. Not everyone was impressed but purple has been my favorite color since I was a little girl, why change it now? The future hubby was kind enough to let me have this one. I was actually gonna do cobalt blue, which I also like and its less feminine but a friend of mine nabbed it first! Oh well :o)
as of right now, my color scheme is red and orange with a hint of yellow and gold? i like them but they arent my favorrritteees.(well orange is probably my second fav color...) my favorite color is hot pink...HAAHA i knew from jump that it would be vetoed out of the wedding color scheme quick, so i didnt even bother trying! besides, although hot pink is my fav color, i love it as an accent, NOT as the main event!!! lol.
My favorite "colors" are black, white & grey. So classic. So clean.
Our wedding colors are Navy & white... I didn't want black as my wedding color, so I got the next closest color :)
Well, my wedding colors are my favorite colors for my wedding.... (but not my favorite colors for wearing, or for decorating at home, etc.) I don't have decor themed according to "my" colors, but for accessories and such I've been thinking of this 1930s-lingerie shade of peach; and a pale corals; and the pink-peach on the inside of a conch shell. LOVE love LUV.
Not at all. My favorite color is turquoise (because I can't pick between blue and green, maybe?), but we didn't use it (we're using muted olive and mint shades of green, with some deep purples, black and ivory). I didn't feel it fit in as well with our late winter/early spring wedding. If we'd stuck with our original summer plans, I'd have gone with turquoise and either a burnt orange or mustard yellow *for sure*. :)
My favorite colors are hot pink & lime green-I'm having hot pink & light yellow as wedding colors- close, but a little different. Great summer colors!
I don't really have a favorite color. I just really don't like orange. I think I'd love to do our wedding in fewel tones... maybe emereld green and plum? But I am 90% sure my guy will demand blue. It is his FAVORITE and everything always has to be blue :)
true! but blue to me is more of a cold color (we'll most likely be married in fall 2010) and i dont love it with purple. But-- we'll see. I'm not super tied to my color preferences. :) My guy is pretty hands off. I expect the only things he'll care much about are location, colors, and music. I need to pick my battles!
purple and ivory (with gold and silver accents) are not my favorite color but I like them enough to use them in my wedding. I love green as my personal fav color but I picked my wedding colors in accordance with Feng Shui (although I'm usually not a superstitious person, go figure).
Our colors were red and blue (country style, not patriotric) and red is my favorite, but blue isn't (it's his favorite though)
We are using pink and green (my favorite colors) and black (his favorite color).
My colors are red and gold - we were originally going to get married at USC - but my favorite color is pink.
My best friend and daughter HATE pink with a passion that burns with the strength of a thousand suns and I like red so throw some gold in there and you have my wedding colors and happy people.
black/white and blue are our colors.. hmm.. now that I think about it, blue is my favorite color and I love wearing black (not in the gothic way though).. so ya!
I don't really have a favorite color--it really really depends on my mood and how trendy i'm feeling =].
I just went with a classic color sfheme that was soft, romantic, and not too overpowering for our plantation wedding =]
We went with colors and feel that are our favorites. Seaglass and relaxed, but with sparkles and cute dresses.
One of my wedding colors - deep crimson red - is my favorite color, but that was actually not why. While we were planning, my fiance and I had chosen sapphire blue as our primary wedding color, as a semi-favorite color for both of us.
I found the most gorgeous sapphire blue bridesmaid dress - and inexpensive too, hurray - but some of the sizes we'd need were only available in crimson. So my favorite color joined the pack.
We didn't want just blue and red for our July wedding, so we added green - my husband's favorite color - for an accent color, to get away from the Glorious-Fourth-of-July look.
Pink is my favourite colour, but there's no way I could have convinced FH to have pink in the wedding. I ended up wanting navy and green, thanks to some posts on snippet & ink and stylemepretty (we are getting married by a lake in the mountains so this seemed to fit). I asked FH and he didn't run away screaming, so I just went with it :) Last week I went to my friend's hockey grand final and the teams were blue & green, I couldn't help myself from saying "hey those are my wedding colours". It looked good on the field!
I'm doing some of my favorites mixed in with colors I really like.
I'm doing a really rich purple/magenta, a rustic orange, and lime green accented with a dark almost-black brown and ivory. No one got it until I started making stuff (I got a lot of 'ummm.... really?' when describing the colors to my mom) but I really like them together. Paired with the patterns I've designs, I think they look pretty darn neat (and original).
I've attached a small pic of my std's so you can see the colors.I was going for a modern vintage look.

our wedding colors are both ours favorite - blue - different shades with ivory and silver accents. blue goes great with our beach wedding
Nope. My favorite color is bright pink but i've never liked hot pink in weddings because it screams "the bride chose this" (no offense to those who chose pink because I love it!).
My second favorite color is blue, but unfortunately the boy is color blind to blue so that was vetoed ;)
We ended up with a deep plum and sage with accents of chocolate and ivory, which I think are beautiful but don't show up much in my actual life :)
Well our wedding is a Halloween one, and my fave color is black, but it's happenstance- my favorites are black + hot pink and purple + green. My dress will be black/hot pink, and I'd like for FI to wear a medium-purple highly fitted suit with lots of green accents but we'll see ;)
I love color in general. But, our wedding colors are one of my favorite combinations : )
Our wedding colors (navy and green) are my favorite colors and my fiance's as well! Our entire apartment is green and navy too.
Lol, his first choice was brown and orange (Cleveland Browns) so we compromised with Chocolate and Turquoise- one for him and one for me.
Unfortunatly not. My FI did not want any pink! :( boo But i think damask black white with accents of red will look very romantic!
My fave color is pink and had always envisioned having a pink wedding. However, my BM and I saw an orange floral dress we both fell in love with and orange became my main color. I love the vibrant hues of our orange colors and also that it was a little different from typical wedding colors such as pink.
I was just thinking about this. My favorite colors are blue and aqua but somehow, due to a few random decisions (availability of fabric for BMs, getting a good deal on centerpieces, etc.), they became totally excluded from my color scheme. lol.
Totally. Yellow is my favorite color, so I HAD to use it. The cake and bridesmaid dresses were yellow. Finding matching linens/decor/groomsmen attire was proving difficult, so I added lavender and gray accents.
Purple is my favorite color and we are using plum purple & orange. The BM's and MOH is in a lighter version of that. I am also using a burnt/copper orange and a few gold accents. The table linens are flooor length ivory with plum purple overlay with gold chargers and flowers are purple and orange.

When I chose my wedding colors, I picked my favorite colors, green and brown. It was an easy choice, and happily my colors fit my fall-season wedding.
Did your favorite colors play into the colors you chose for your wedding? Did you choose your wedding date or season on the basis of your preferred colors?
