I am in the process of looking for a photographer to photograph my wedding.  I have scheduled 5 different appointments to meet photographers.  The first ones I met were a wonderfully friendly husband and wife team (call them photographers A).  I was sold on them about 2 minutes into our converstation.  I meet with another photographer (photographer B) yesterday.  I have yet to meet the other 3 photographers.  Today photographer A called me informed me that there was another couple interested in my date.  I believe I will be perfectly happy working with team A, and the price is in the right range of what I want to pay.  Should I cancel appointments C-E and book with team A or go to C-E appointments and make my decision afterwards(hoping that team A is not booked)??????

Have you looked at full weddings for couple A?  It's really important to look at not just what is on their blog or site, but an entire day.  It will give you a much better feel for their capabilities and style.

We pretty much knew who we wanted from minute one.  The only complicating factor was that she had a wedding on our date.  We changed our date by a week to get her!

Are photographers C-E similar in style to photographers A & B?  Did you choose the 5 photographers to meet based on their blogs?  Were they referrals from someone else? You said you were sold on them 2 minutes into the conversation and they were the first out of the 5 vendor so you must have really liked them.

I agree with doctorgirl that it would be good to see the whole day.  Also, it's important that you get along with the photographers and that you're able to talk to them and communicate well.  If you really like A, then you might want to go with them.  When you guys finalize plans for the wedding, you can be clear with them re: what kind of shots you want for sure on your wedding day.

I have decided to go with team A for my photography.  Thanks for your input. :)
