Put it in a safe secure box until you can fix it.  This happened to me and I took it the next day to the jeweler and they fixed it.  Best of luck!

@Jabberwocky:  are there any foreign jewellers there? I live in Shanghai and always take my stuff to a Canadian jeweller here. But make sure you stand your ground that the diamond is loose! I took mine to a jeweller and he said it wasn’t loose and it was all in my head and two months later it fell out!

🙁 I had this just after my e-ring arrived – I’d literally only been wearing it 24 hours when I saw it wiggle! I was so heartbroken to put it back in the box but FI took it back to the jeweller, they tightened up the prongs and it’s been fine since.

@Jabberwocky:  all you need to say is “loose diamond.” or, well technically, what you have is a “loose prong” (or bent bezel… depending how your ring is set). Unfortunately because it’s not the same jeweler you bought it from there is likely to be a fee, but not much (at least for prongs, because it’s an easy fix. I don’t know how loose bezel settings are fixed). If it’s prong-set and you take it to an actual jeweler (not just a jewelry shop) they can fix it that very day.
