Spent two weeks dealing with this terrible dress salon and meanwhile I purchased another dress from another store because at one point it seemed that I would end up with nothing to wear. After many aggravating conversations, I finally got the dress salon to fix the first dress (since they refused to give me my deposit back).
So now that it looks like it is supposed to, my initial dress regret has disappeared and NOW I HAVE TWO dresses that I like.
And I can only wear one. And I have to decide soon, because I already have interested buyers in both.
SO PLEASE HELP ME.
Right now I think I feel equally as good in both of them for very different reasons. They both fit my venue equally as well. I feel like the first is more dramatic, but the second is more figure flattering. The first makes me feel more like a bride, but the second makes me feel more like me. I adore the flowiness of the first one, but I've always been in love with lace. Love the back of the first one, but love the details of the second, etc, etc. ARGH.
Seriously, one hour I like one better, and the next hour I like the other one. I've been going back and forth for days, I'm SO confused. If it's a matter of personal taste, I honestly don't even know how I want to look anymore. AAH!
It's time to get help from you wonderful bees!
What are your HONEST first impressions of each dress and which one do you like better on me?

Alterations on first dress: will make into sweetheart (as shown with the horrible editing in the first pic), will tighten it a little through the hips.

In the picture below I'm not clipped in well in the sample, so imagine it a little tighter around the hips.

Alterations on the second dress: Will add stones to belt to add some "BLING," will add a petticoat to add a bit of volume to bottom.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR OPINIONS!
I love love love them both. First impression was the first one looks better to me!
Oh my gosh I LOVE the second one on you. The first one looks nice, but when I got to the second one - WOW! Stunning!
#2. I really like #1 but I feel that it's too much dress for your small frame. I like the silhouette and details of #2 much better on you.
There are two dresses that give me pangs of "what if" after I bought my final dress -- tarheelgrad's Priscilla and the Enzoani Cincinnati. It's such a stunningly gorgeous dress. The Fabi is beautiful on you, too, but I prefer the Cincinnati. It seems more classic to me.
Oh my gosh, I totally understand your feelings. My automatic instinct is that #1 has the "wow" factor (like nobody's business) on you, but I just love how romantic #2 is on you! The details on #2 on truly special. This is so hard for me because I'm in love with them both on you, but I think i'm going #2. But for what it's worth, you just can NOT go wrong!!!
#2. It gives you more of an hour-glass figure (what girl doesn't want that?) and looks MUCH softer and better for your frame. :)
Damn, that's a tough choice. I really love them both.
But, you've got to pick one. So, my first impression award goes to the first one. I'm not sure I like the flower on the sash in the second--it is a little too much with all the lace.
You are in a predicament! Both look great and I really don't think you can make a "wrong" decision but if it was me, I would choose the second one (the one that is not strapless). Personally I am not as much of a fan of dresses when the back sweeps across the bum area. So I think the second dress is more flattering. But that is just my opinion. Honestly I might sell whichever you are getting offered the most money for but I am cheap like that... ;)
Number 2 all the way! its more unique and romantic! i feel like dress number 1 could be any dress out there...number 2 will be remembered!
I personally like the 1st dress to be honest with you. It's a little more dramatic and I didn't even notice your editing job until you said something. Haha... The 2nd one is pretty but it has a totally different look to it, much more classic and vintage. I guess it really depends on what style you are going towards, more modern or vintage?
Ok. BOTH are so beautiful!! I think you should go with the second one, and I'll wear the first one! ;) Haha!
Either one looks amazing on you, but the second one is soooo pretty, and not one that I've really seen very much.
I would chose the first one because you said that's the one that makes you feel like a bride! I think you won't regret it if that's your reason, ( I had the same delima and chose my dress for the same reason)
Objectively speaking, I do love the second dress as a dress better. But if it doesn't give you that bridal feeling, then all it is, is a pretty dress. Either way, you look great in both.
Oh my gosh I love them both!!!!!! The second one is very me! So I would pick that one. And if I have picked your lace one instead on the lace one I got, I would probably be wearing it at my wedding.
But for some reason I feel like number one is more you. I can't really tell you why because I don't know you and can't even see your face, so maybe I am nuts. That was just my first thoughts.
Good luck, either way they are both gorgeous!
I totally understand your indecisiveness. I started scrolling, saw the first picture, and went, "Oh, that's easy. Dress #1 looks amazing on her!" Kept scrolling down, saw Dress #2 and went, "DAMMIT. So does that one."
That said, while they both look incredible on you, my personal preference is #2 (and for someone who isn't normally a fan of lace, that's just how awesome Dress #2 is). It's classic and modern at the same time, and of the two, it's the dress that would still take my breath away looking at the photos decades later.
My vote is for #1! It looks awesome on you! And that rhinestone sash is GORGEOUS!
I love both, but #1 looks really great on you! I voted for #1 but I can see why this is a hard decision...

Totally see your issue as you look just drop dead stunning in both! I think that #1 is more modern and #2 is modern with a bunch of classic thrown in, so my vote is for #2. I also prefer #2 for the back side and love how dramatic the train is.
They are both beautiful. However, I think the second is more unique and special looking. The first looks like a Vera wannabe (maybe it is?). I think that skirt is becoming a little typical.
Dress 2 is unique!!! Dress 1 is soooo what everyone else is wearing, not in a bad way, but personally I'm bored with the strapless dresses. Same old same old. And I don't like the bling. They both look great on you though. But again Dress 2 is so unique, a real fashion-statement!! You look bride to me!
I had to look up your age since I can't see your face,so my decision is based partly on that. I think the second dress is too old for you and looks more like it would be for an older bride. #1 is a more youthful, but beautiful, dress.
If you love lace (which it sounds like you do) go with the 2nd one.
Both definitely look amazing and you really can't go wrong with either - but the 2nd one is a tad more unique.
I didn't like the way lace looked on me, so I ruled it out (personally) all together - so I was at first rooting for the 1st one - until I read you liked lace!
IF you found out one of the dresses got ruined - which dress would you be more sad about (I used that logic to decide on mine)... hope it helps!
@smyley: Great point, I honestly never even thought about that. I will be just about 24 years old when I get married, but I often get mistaken for a teenager (example- stranger sees me reading a bridal magazine and wants to know when my prom is lol). So the first would def. be more appropriate now that you mention it... but maybe the second would also help me to look my age? Or maybe not? Hmm...
@oracle: Hmm I'm going to have to really think about that last thing you said. That's a smart way to look at it!
@MrsSundet: Thanks! It's the Cincinnati by Blue by Enzoani :)
The silhouette of the first is really pretty and you look great in it. The belt is a bit heavy and the side view along the fabric gathers is a tad awkward but still very pretty.
The second one is gorgeous. I love the neckline. I love the fabric. The fit on you is really lovely. Like it a lot.
Voting for the lace 2nd one for sure.
Normally I'm a lace girl, but I love #1 on you. You have great shoulders and collarbones that totally get shown off in #1 but they just disappear in #2. I say rock #1!!
If you're planning on adding bling to the second one, then I have to vote for the first one. I don't think adding stones to the lace one would look good at all. It is richly romantic the way it is and I think bling would cheapen the overall look of it. Otherwise, I would vote for it, because I love lace.
The first one already had bling that I think really accentuates the glamour of it. I also think the A-line shape really flatters your body.
I had wondered about you and which dress you chose. :)
Honestly, you are gorgeous (even without a face..lol) in both dresses. I can understand how difficult this decision is, considering both gowns are completely beautiful in very different ways. Being someone who is indecisive, I can totally relate. Now, onto my decision. Both dresses are very bridal, in my opinion. Of course, the first is more elegant and sophisticated. The second is romantic and youthful. The straps on the second are incredible and the fluidity of the first is gorgeous. Let's talk accessories. I am not a fan of that particular veil with the lace dress. Maybe you should consider how you would like to decorate yourself on your wedding day. Do you want a more modern or traditional hairstyle, up or down, curls or straight and what about jewelry? Will you be going all out with crystals or stones or keeping it simple with pearls? Makeup will also be a determining factor. The dress is not the only thing you will wear on your wedding day. With more information about how you plan or want to look, otherwise, I think I could make a more informed decision. Since you are unbelievable in both dresses, I would love more details about how you plan to look on the day! Photos would even be appreciated of sample hairstyles, makeup or jewelry. See what you can do! :)
@Loribeth: I absolutely agree about adding "bling" to the lace dress. No, no, no! I also would avoid adding more volume to it with any sort of additional petticoat. You are very petite like me, and I figured out real quick when I first went dress shopping that bigger dresses tend to "eat" me.
I voted for the lace. What you said about it feeling more like "you" resonated with me... some dresses I tried on looked very "bridal" but made me feel out of place. If that one's more your style, I think that's an important thing to consider.
@boombacha: Hi! Thanks for your helpful and kind comment! You're really helping me think of things that I hadn't factored in! I'm not completely sure about my look yet, and I will probably change it a bit depending on which dress I decide on to make sure it all goes together.
But if the dress were not a factor, I think I'll be doing a soft, romantic updo, a subtle smokey eye, and my jewelry will probably have some sparkle to it (heavier if I go with the first dress, but more subtle if I go with the second). With the first dress I would probably wear a cathedral length veil, but with the second I'd do a double-layer fingertip plain veil (no ribbon edge), so that I don't cover the lace on the train. What do you think based on this? (Thanks again so much!).
They both look stunning on you! But the first one I like a little more :-P
