We don't live in Phoenix anymore, but when we got engaged, we did. (Actually, I'll be there tomorrow, as I'm getting married in Messa next week. Yay!)
On a whim, we decided to drive up South Mountain for our e-pictures and it turned out to be a really good idea. We went up late afternoon and were able to get some daytime pictures, but the best ones were taken at dusk, when we were graced with a beautiful pink sunset. We stayed a little bit after dark and got some great pictures with the city lights in the background too.
Our photographer was a friend of mine, so if you need one, I would be happy to give you her name and number.
I used to live in Old Town Scottsdale, what about the Sugar Bowl for some "sweet" shots sharing a shake or a sundae :), might give you some retro looking pics. I saw some pics of a girl I knew with her fiance with a "love" sculpture just like the one in Philly but I'm not sure where that is. Are you alums of ASU perhaps? There's always campus shots, A Mountain, the stadium. Mill Ave. might provide a cute urban background.

We did one session at Tempe Town Lake. Tempe Center for the Arts, next to the lake, would make for some cool pics, too. We did another session at NAU and in downtown Flagstaff because I wanted some in the snow (even though I hate the cold I think snow is pretty).
LOVE sculpture in Scottsdale and the Westward Ho Hotel in Downtown Phx.
We did ours at the Desert Botanical Garden ~ and I think they came out great!! There are lots of different options for backgrounds without having to drive all over town, and rest rooms througout the property make outfit changes super easy :)

Hi Bees,
I am getting my engagement pics done in a few weeks, and have yet to decide on a location. So, I was wondering where all of you got your pictures taken?? OR what are some cool places around town you love??
