Hey your the first Arkansas bride Ive seen on here. I am from around Fayettville. I go to Arkansas Tech in Russellville. Where are you from? We should get some arkansas bee's together for a bee meet up!

Mr.bobby almost more excited than both of us! ha ha We are actually going to use a field in Wesley! It's gorgeous! I wish I had pictures!
Omg! This is so crazy I grew up in Wesley, on cherry creek! If you dont mind me asking who's field? I may know them.
Originally we were going to get married at the wesley church of christ. You know that small church on the corner of 74 and 295? The only problem was that it is church of christ and there is no music allowed in church of christ. However, my family had gone there for years so it was a little sad.
the people who own the field are the Martins, June Martin. I went to Harber, then rogers then harber again lol. I graduated 09! how funny! Wow I'm sorry to hear that no music is allowed at the church of christ, why is that? do they not believe in music?
No church of christ does not even have a piano they only sing hymns and basically just blue hairs go to church of christ's ive been to but there were some families to. If you need any help with anything let me know. Also, I have great wedding coordinators if you need some of those, they are worth thier weight in gold! Iam not kidding. I also have a great photographer! I saw on a previous post that your fiancees name is Josh? My fiancees name is josh!

We have a photographer and we were going to use a DOC but decided not to use one because of the budget...I'm regretting it now lol. Are yours pretty expensive?
have you found anywhere else to hold the wedding? what kind of theme are you doing?
Ya we're doing both the ceremony and the reception at the pratt place, with a changeover between. My coordinators are pam and amy at weddingsbydetails. They are not to expensive. They are 20$ an hour or they have a 1000$ for the whole month before the wedding package. They are based out of fort smith and they will drive up here to meet with you and plan with you. They have driven up here many times for me and they have met with me at very short notice. Also, my theme is country chic, and I am using eventures for my rentals. My colors are olive and navy.
wow, I'm sorry I had a total brain fart. As soon as I read your first sentence I remembered you telling me that! Your colors sound so pretty! Ours are a light summery pink, gold and cream/off white. We're using Festivities for our rentals, they're closer to wesley, and we'll have to check out the coordinators!
Ooooh! Other Arkansas girls! My fiance and I both grew up in Fort Smith, where we'll be married, and we're currently attending UA in Fayetteville. I'm so excited to see other girls from Arkansas on here!
Central Presbyterian Church - his parents were married there 30 years ago, and it's the church his whole family attends. I've been visiting since we've been engaged (I was raised Lutheran, but we've been attending a Presbyterian church here in Fayetteville as long as we've been up here, and I think it's a much better fit), and the pastors are so sweet! I'm so excited!

No we aren't! I'm not quite sure what small quirking thing we'll do! We have beautiful drink holders though! And our guest book is going to be Polaroid!
i have a list of seamstresses i got from lows bridal when i bought my dress i will try to find it and email you. i love the guest book polaroid idea, i may steal that.
Go for it! It's going to be kind of DIY where we get the camera and a scrapbook and markers ect. and let the guest glue their pictures where ever they want! I'm really excited to see how it works out!
yeah I really need a seamstress! I'm using my moms gown for the ceremony which definitely needs to be altered(she was a lot taller than me) and a DB gown but I'm going to go to DB to see what they can do first.
I am so happy to find some other Fayetteville brides. We are also having out reception at Pratt Place Barn. I can't wait!
we're definitely going to have to go for a bee meet up! hopefully some other brides find their way here!
I am getting married at the Thorncrown Chapel and having my reception at the Crescent Hotel in January. Does anyone know of an antique car for rent?

Hi everyone, I live just south of Ft. Smith. It is nice to see other AR brides. I have no idea where my wedding will be because I don't know when it will be. We have just started our petition for the fiance visa. My fiance is from New Zealand and we are hoping if all goes well we will have our wedding in March. We had been hoping for an outdoor wedding but the weather is so unpredictable I am not sure we will be able to. I am about at the point where I want to find someone with a nice field and go that route. Because of the visa stuff and all of the travel associated with the wedding our budget is pretty small. Does anyone have any suggestions of venues? I also need a place that will let us provide all of the food.
