so i don't know about you other dark-haired brides, but i shave everyday and my pits always get a FIVE O CLOCK SHADOW!!

for the BIG day, i was thinking of just growing it out for a few days and shaving, which usually does a good job of lasting 24 hours without stubble... but what do you bees recommend? is there a better option??!

It's expensive and a little painful, but laser is 100% worth it. Trust me on this.

The same thig happens to me :( and I don't know what to do either! No shaving for a few days and hten shaving usually helps too! My underarms also are a little darker and it bugs me a little!

@fontgoddess, yes i heard from gf's that laser is AMAZING. but i don't have the money before the wedding! :(

@jennychicago... i'm thinking tanning might help a lil bit... but i guess the few days of growing is my best bet!

Have you tried an epilator? It's basically like fast-powered tweezing. There are rotating parts that tweeze the hairs out from the roots. I bought one from Target recently, made by Remington. I used it on my armpits a few days ago and have touched up a couple of times to get any hairs that hadn't been long enough previously, and my armpits are BABY SOFT! I use it on my legs, too. My shower routine is considerably shorter since I don't have to shave pits or legs!

But I'm not gonna BS you, it absolutely KILLS when the hairs are coarse (i.e. bikini line, pits). Legs are not very painful.

Ok I don't know how much it works but it may be worth a shot.  Dove makes a deodorant that supposedly reduces the visibility of underarm hair.  It may be worth it to just pick some up and use it daily to see if it helps.

I will say that I tried the epilator on my legs and I almost I cried it was horrible!!!! But that was just my own personal experience.

I plan on doing my beauty routine not even 1 hour before walking down the aisle. That way everything will be fresh and in place. I live in a small town so I won't have to have a whole lot of time. :)

i would say wax...but yea the growing out part is horrendous. LOL I guess you only option is to shave morning of? If you can suck it up and grow it out, I would definitely go with waxing!

I too have that five o'clock shadow even hours after I shave so I had my underarms waxed 2 days before the wedding and they looked great!
