Interview (Assessment) today... nervous!

ARRRR I hate working out today!

    I'm on Week 9... and it feels like SUCH A CHORE!!! My 45-minute workout is taking me an hour and a half!!!

    Does this happen to anyone else?

    I know it!  Some days it just feels like torture!  But you just have to power through and you will feel great when it's done!

    UGH, that's how I felt yesterday!  I've taken it a little easy since finishing my first half marathon in Jan.  But I'm signed up for another in six weeks and I have to get back to training.  I was cursing my "break" on the treadmill yesterday when I wanted. to. die.

    Ugh I hear you!!  The hardest part for me is getting ready for the gym - I make up so many excuses NOT to go.  I am fine once I get into the car and physically driving there though...I did give up being a lazyass for Lent though so now I have to go.

    This is how I say motivated at the gym (I am there for 40-55mins).  Our gym has little tvs on each machine so I bring my iPod and some headphones to listen - I check which shows are on each night so I sometimes plan my workouts around the tv (pathetic, I know!  but it helps me stay at the gym longer!!).  I used to bring a magazine that I saved specifically for the gym and would read it cover to cover - that way I also covered the time on the machines so I wouldn't constantly stare at it.   There are also music programs you can download on you iPod/MP3 player which plays music to match your workout - for ex:  the music gets faster and more upbeat when you have to intensify your workout - that way its switching it up a bit.

    I hear you on this one! I'm actually sitting on the couch right now trying to get myself to GET UP and go work out. I keep telling myself "I'll go during the next commercial break!"

    I'm on week 3 of my self-made program and this morning was killer.  Maybe it's just one of those days :P

    I thought my legs were going to fall off during spinning today. Glad it was my last Friday noon class - it was too much to fit 40 minutes of spinning into a 60 minute lunch break.

    Agreed! I always go for my run right after I take my dog out for his walk because if I sit down for even a minute, I know I won't get back up.  This morning I made my dog wait until 10 before his walk so I could stay in bed longer. :( I'm such a bad dog mamma. haha.

    I hate working out on fridays too! it feels so wrong somehow...lol. Luckily the gym is at work...(I work at a hospital that has a fitness center) and as long as I get my butt over there before sitting anywhere Im fine. I went yesterday for an hour and a half! I did a resistance band class and one of the bands I was using snapped and hit me straight on the @$$ and now I have a big red mark/bruise. Now thats dedication! lol

    that's exactly how i felt last night!!

    it was my fifth night in a row of 45-min cardio/light lifting/short exercises and my entire body felt like it was twice as heavier as it usually is...

     

    ughhhh

     

    keep the momentum going and push thru it!!!! sending my motivation your way!
