Okay, so I’m in the process of ordering my invites, programs, menu cards, etc.
I love the store that I’m ordering my invites from, but it’s more cost-efficient for me to order programs and menu cards online. As a result, I can’t match the day-of stationery to the custom invite stationery. Is that a problem? Will it be too mish-moshy? I have photos below.
My wedding colors are navy, cream and gold.
My invite will look similar to this – with gold and navy font, and it will have one more – floral designed – layer of paper between the gold and cream layers. That middle, floral layer is pictured right below the invite. Also, the envelope liner will be navy.
The program and menu card design I am considering is this one, though I would go with navy ink because I think this lighter color gets a bit lost on the paper.
Thoughts on all of this?
Like the invite? Like the program? Like them for the SAME WEDDING??

@riakd: I love everything, except for that blue and gold floral paper. At the “same” wedding the design of that and the design of the program just don’t match. I honestly think the simple, clean way that it is shown is GORGEOUS with just the gold border. You want the focus on the invitation, not on the paper. Does that make sense?
I adore everything else!

@riakd: 🙂 Like other bees, I think that without the floral paper, those invites would be AMAZING! XD

I love the mix of papers including the floral. We just ordered my daughter’s invites. The invitation, rsvp and thank you cards are all from different vendors. We will make the reception and accomodations cards ourselves. There was an invitation suite that she loved that was way way out of our price range so we tried to duplicate it as best we could. Not an exact match of course, but it has a similar feeling. Hope to post a pic when they all come in… and if it looks as good as it does in my head. We really like the non matchy, more eclectic look, but still elegant. Yours are beautiful.

@pinkksnow: Thanks for the feedback!I ended up keeping the invitation as originally planned, but I’m still unsure about the programs. I think I just may go for it, though, because I can’t say that anything else really stuck out when I browsed online.
I’d love to see a photo of your daughter’s paper products when you get them all in!! I hope you both love them! It sounds like you’re putting a lot of effort into placing all the pieces together.
I got an electronic proof of my invite yesterday, but the format is one that won’t post here. When the actual invites come in, I’ll take a picture for you.
