Hey there!  I’m a wedding photographer (as well as getting married myself next year) and I shot at the Arts Ballroom last weekend.  It was a bit smaller than the website led me to believe it would be but the staff was great, the food looked quite good, and the entire space was crisp and clean!

Hey!  Yes of course – susanstriplingblog.com.  I’m a few weeks behind on blogging right now but the Arts Ballroom images should be up soon!

hi! I’m booked at the ballroom, my wedding is next Saturday! Susan Stripling is my photographer as well 🙂 I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with Stephen Starr and the space is pretty. I booked them in May 2011 so we’ve been working with them now for over a year. I’ll let you know how it was after next Saturday 🙂 I know reviews are far and few between because it’s still so new.

@kittybean:  Please do let us know how it was!

Also, if any arts ballroom brides dont mind sharing how much did you pay pp? the knot has $$ and I feel like that must be a mistake.

ladies, my wedding was october 20th at the ballroom. if you have any questions please let me know. however i am sure pricing has changed since i booked them because i booked them in may 2011 for my october 2012 wedding. stephen starr has now taken over the ballroom so i am sure there are changes  to that as well. we were also able to bring in our own alcohol but i know they offer their own package now. inquire about brigning in your own alcohol because that would definitely be to your advantage but i do not know if they allow it any longer since the ballroom is now technically theirs and there aren’t two parties affiliated with it anymore.

when i booked the dinner menu i chose was $66 pp, not including all labor, all taxes, and extra stations for the cocktail hour. adding more severs/bartenders also adds to the cost. they have a ratio for how many staff members per tables/guests.

as far as a review i can come up with that later, but everyone with the ballroom was great. food was all wonderful, there was definitely enough service for the amount of people i had attend, and it was a great night overall. any questions please PM me.

@brienna007:  $5500 at the time (may 2011). the ballroom was owned by a private party at the time though so if stephen starr has taken over it may have gone up, especially since that was over 1.5 years ago.
