My husband picked out the engagement ring and the wedding bands. So he did all of the work! 😉 I wear the engagement ring on my right hand now and the wedding band on my left hand.

I became engaged at 46, married at 47.  Here are my rings:

And, here is recent pic of them, sparkling like crazy and reflecting color everywhere under the jeweler’s lights, after they had just been deep cleaned and polished!

Here’s my baby, fiance’ presented it to me on a traditional skinny solitaire band.  I wanted a wide wedding band, and instead opted to place the diamond on a wide cathedral setting instead of having two rings.  I love this ring and just started wearing it last weekend when we eloped, we never even announced our engagement last winter, we just waited for my birthday to elope.  At 48, last Saturday was the best day of my life so far!

here’s mine.  we got engaged when i was 42 and married last year just shy of 45.

my ering initially came as a 2.02ct solitaire but i added another 2cts of side stones.

i love my eternity band and often just wear that with my plain band.  it’s 4ctw as well.

@creeative1:  Thanks! Best wishes on your upcoming marriage! 🙂

@Soon2BD-CBee:  Thank you! I was indecisive about some things for my wedding, but I knew that was the perfect band for me! 🙂

@creeative1:  I’m slightly younger, turn 36 this month. I got this ring. I don’t think anything is “too young” if you love it. I personally don’t care for heart shaped stones because they remind me of a younger girl, but that’s just me.

Mine is non-traditional, I didn’t want a diamond.  I have a white gold band with three natural emeralds with four tension-set tiny tiny diamonds in-between.

We met in Seattle, the emerald city.  Also I wanted to keep the engagement stealth for a while, and I could with this ring.

Wedding band is traditional yellow gold, though.
