grow out my fringe….Wasn’t happy about it and stood down….she ended up getting all the girls to get their ears pierced too (2 girls didnt have earings)…AND THEY DID IT

The brides theory was that they could take them out after and the holes would close up.

She ended up going through 2 other bridesmaides before her wedding lol

I was a bridesmaid for a bride who told us (not invited, not asked) that we all had to come over and make crafts with her (turned out to be for her and not with). We had three power-crafting sessions to do other favors , decor, and our hand-warmers that we carried instead of bouquets. I’m not a crafty person to start with, and I do not like being told I HAVE to do something. That she lived an hour away didn’t help. At least she bought us a couple of pizzas. But she asked us to bring wine!

@purple_sofia:  When I was part of it there was 5 of us (BM) and we all bought our dresses ($300 each- ON SALE) and three weeks later she wanted to add another 3 girls, so the dresses we bought were no good (her words). We couldn’t return them because they were on sale and discontinued. Worst wedding ever….

To not get pregnant until after her wedding because she “already has too many fat bridesmaids”

…..I’m not TTC, but GEEZ. Also, this was said at MY bachelorette party.

1. I told the bride that the bridesmaid dress she had chosen was a bit over my budget, was there anything she could do? Her response was oh well, you weren’t there when we picked out dresses (I live out of state) so you just have to go with what the other girls agreed to.

2. Another bridesmaid said that she wanted to do her own hair because the hair stylist the bride had chosen was kinda pricey and the bridesmaid could do her own hair just fine. The bride pitched a fit and told she had better get her hair done with the stylist like everyone one.

Sigh.

No … i guess I have reasonable friends?  I also think i was reasonable, navy, knee length and no face tattoos … I guess if your friends and you are all crazy .. thinks happen like .. YOU MUST PIERCE YOUR EARS.

@newname_99:  No, I stood down. I was already flying over for the wedding (and accomidation) I couldn’t afford another dress….

Then the issue with her wanting my frindge to be grown out (I have had my hair like this since I had met her in high school- 15 years ago) and wanting the other girls to get their ears done…

Yes they did it….and one of the girls ended up getting a ear infection and couldn’t wear the earings anyway.

@russian_doll:  sorry i didnt read that properly. its just crazy to me. i know the majority of bees are from the US so i dont want to offend everyone…but as an english person, the idea of someone you care about not being in the wedding because of dress costs is really odd. im well aware that most BMs wont wear the dress again…which is why i should buy it.

i have a friend who was offended she didnt get a bridesmaids gift

and a friend who tried to explain that a specific Dessy dress with sweetheart neckline isnt great for women with really big boobs (ive seen it when mine tried theirs on, after a certain size…its a bit much. they pop out) and got told “you wear it or you arent a BM”

@newname_99:  It was costing me $2400 for flight tickets..thats why i couldn’t afford yet another dress. Then there was hotel and car hire on top of that.
