Why not register for all if you want?? We registered for it all because some people might want to go in on a big gift, buy you a big gift, or with the completion perks, you can get a % discount on items left on your registry to buy yourself!

For sake of the discussion, I picked KitchenAid mixer because I don’t have one of those. I have pots and pans and a vacuum. It was a close 2nd with the All Clad set because I’d really like those too. Like I said, put em all there though 🙂

Tough call between the All Clad and the mixer, but I’d probably say that I’d enjoy receiving the mixer more as a gift.  We’ve already bought some really nice pans while living together, but a stand mixer isn’t something I would go out of my way to purchase right now.  The Dyson would definitely be last because I have so many friends who have had bad experiences with them.

Ivd want the mixer. Every year I talk myself out of it because I only bake during Christmas. I would and did buy myself a great set of pots and pans and use those all the time.  In this case I’d go with the splurge gift.

ETA: we didn’t have a registry

I would take the KitchenAid Mixer. I already have a vaccuum and a enought pots and pans for us both.

KitchenAid Mixer! I already have pots/pans and a vacuum. They may not be as nice as the ones you have listed but I would rather have the mixer than upgrade those two things!

@FleeSircus:  The all clad hands down. It will last forever as opposed to the vacuum. I have a kitchen aid and almost never use it. I’d use the cookware pretty much every day.

@FleeSircus:  I actually have all three, not all from the registry though. I have to say, if you like cooking, especially baking, get the Mixer. I absolutely love my professional level one. I love to cook, but by no means am I a pro. I find All-Clad pans very difficult to work with. You have to know how to use it JUST right or it will discolor the pan. My husband loves the All-Clad since the pans don’t have artificial coating and he’s patient with them. Dyson is good because it’s user friendly, but you can definitely find them at CostCo or deals on Target. Happy shopping!

All clad for me.  I actually got all 3 within the last year!

I love to cook though so I just loved the pans and was dying for some better pans that would last forever.  You do need to read a little bit if you’ve never cooked with stainless steel before because there are some things that make it easier.  I’ve only been using mine for 5 months but I don’t have any discoloration or problems.  They make special cleaners for stainless steel too.

I bought the Dyson on my own because we needed a new vacuum.  I don’t have any particular fondness for vacuums but I do like it.  And a vacuum isn’t going to last forever.

The kitchenaid has been really useful and great for me (I bake a lot) but I can’t say it does anything that I couldn’t do before…it’s just easier.  The easier part is nice, but like I said, I could make everything without it as well.  FWIW I have a bread machine so I used to do bread in that or use the dough cycle.  Now I can use either one, but the kitchenaid makes making pastry dough easier for me.  And I like that it’s hands free so if I’m doing something that requires 10+ minutes of mixing I don’t have to stand there.

As I have none of these, I’d love any of them! I’d probably want the All Clad first, then the vacuum, then the mixer, but then again, maybe I also don’t know what I’m missing. 😉

I admit I had to Google what an al clad set was, I just know them as pots & pans, but yes, that one!
