As a mom, what would you truly appreciate as a gift

Nikkimcq:  that sounds like a great idea — but the babysitting coupon is key! I’d love it if someone not only provided us with something fun to do on a date, but also provided us with the means to actually make it happen 🙂

I gave my sister and her husband a gift card to dinner theatre with a babysitting coupon for Christmas and they haven’t used it yet! Those jerks! 😉

I was a nanny (not a mom), and my employer really appreciated it when I made her dinner a couple times. She’s a hard working single mom who doesn’t get a lot of time to herself and is usually coming home tried and throwing something together. I made a complete “adult” meal with a filet of fish, a veggie, and rice A coupon for a night of babysitting is awesome too. I gave a friend who recently became a mom of two a massage certificate and babysitting while she went, and she loved it because it’s the kind of thing she’d enjoy but not that she’d buy for herself.

Nikkimcq:  the nice thing about packaging the two things together is you kind of force her hand — she knows she has to use the gift card or else she’s a jerk, but in order to use the gift card, she has to take you up on the babysitting. It’s the perfect combo 😀
