I am a simple kind of girl, and only really want a .5 carat, but if I could pick any ring it would be a round cut center stone with pear shaped side stones from Tiffany's. What can I say, the idea of that little blue box has me smitten!
OK, here are a few of my favorites... I still haven't figured out clearly one style I'm in love with!
From Tiffany:

Ritani:

And I just love these Tacori rings...

A girl can dream, right?
I love the Vatche X prong with a .75 carat solitaire asscher...very simple and timeless. and the best part - my man friend picked it out the last time we went ring shopping!

I too once thought about what my "dream ring" would be, but then I realized that it really doesn't matter what the ring looks like. In my opinion, thinking about a dream ring is really materialistic. The best part about the ring is the effort and thought that goes into it, and the sole fact that your man went out to buy that particular ring JUST FOR YOU. I absolutely love my ring, even though its not what I used to think was my "dream ring", for that exact reason. I woudn't change anything about it. It's absolutely beautiful for more reasons than just the way it looks.
@flygirl J : AGREED.
...BUT, for entertainment, it's fun to see everyone's jewelry style. I love this baby from Bulgari ze best!

I also love this ridiculously awesome Emerald cut from Debeers...

A wee bit over the top? Probably.
Pretty pretty? Definitely.
I love seeing all the different tastes you girls have!! Here is my dream ring... It just looks so simple and elegant to me. I already showed it to boyfriend so I am hoping I will get something similar... but as long as the stone is round cut I will be a very, very happy lady!

@flygirl j- i agree. the thought behind the ring is way more important than the looks. however, in addition to being a symbol of love and commitment it is also jewelry that we wear every day of our lives. i figured out my preferences and was lucky enough to have a guy who really wanted to get me something i love. it wasn't something he could just walk into a store and buy so he built it himself online. i have my dream ring and i'm thrilled :)
@all- it makes me so happy whenever this thread pops back up. dream on girls!
I have a new ring crush...or several hehe
Designer Sarah Perlis makes organic beauties that, I believe, are completely conflict-free. These are my favs:

My dream ring is the ring I actually received (cheesy i know). I saw it in a magazine a few years ago and thought nothing of it. Little did I know, that he actually saved the ad and saved up for it and proposed just this March. It is a very unique ring and I will probably never meet someone in my lifetime with this ring. And it is just so......me (notice the butterfly?!)
martin flyer shared prong .75c with my grandmother's diamond as the center stone.
Well my dream ring changed once again. I swear it's easier to figure out who you want to marry then it is versus finding your dream ring. It's by vatche and I think this one's a keeper. Hopefully SO i'll get the hint and get me this one.
This is my dream ring :) It's a very precise Tiffany & Co. replica from www.exceldiamonds.com. I'm getting this exact ring except with a 1.5ct moissanite.
Before getting engaged, this was my dream ring:

But I love the ring FI proposed to me with even more.
When we were talking engagement I wasnt sure if I actually wanted a diamond since they are SOOO expensive and I knew we would be paying cash for my ring. I've always been cool with the idea of a pink sapphire so when I came across this beauty, I really thought it was the one. This ring is pretty much as close to perfection as it gets for me. Its a pear shape pink sapphire with a diamond halo and a pink sapphire halo set on a diamond pave band from an Etsy seller. It was FI who wanted me to have a diamond e-ring and dont get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my e-ring but I would have been just as happy with this beauty. SWOON!!!

For some reason my photoshop distorted the color. Its actually much pinker than this appears.
