You might want to repost this in 'Rings' to get more responses :)
Hi there! My fiance and I decided to go with an Asha diamond until he finishes grad school. We'd much rather put the money into a down payment for our first home than into a ring right now. I've only had mine for a few months and so far it's still gorgeous... as shiny as all the real ones I've tried on:)
It's a 1.5ct mounted into a setting we picked out together. Here are a few pics:
@LittleMouse: I completely understand what you mean. Future FI and I just had a baby to I can hardly justify that much money on a diamond right now when I can put that money into his furture. Maybe one day I might 'upgrade', but I guess it depends on how much I love my engagement ring.
Your sparkly is beautiful! What colour did you go with? Aghhh seeing pictures makes me want mine now too! haha :-)
Does yours pass as a diamond or do can ppl tell its a sim?
I have a couple of brand-new Asha stones that I plan to list on Ebay (I later found a vintage ring that I fell in love with). One is a loose stone, a 1.5 ct Radiant (8x6mm) and the other is a 1.5 ct Princess (6.5mm) set in a 4 prong palladium cathedral setting (Elegante), 2mm width. Would be happy to email pictures if either is of interest. I can't speak how they hold up over time since I never wore them but I did take the loose stone into a high-end jewelery shop here to look at settings and the jeweler thought it was a diamond (even after looking at under a loupe!) until I told her it was a sim!
@dreamingofbling: I went with the F. When I took it to the jeweler, two people helped me and both said it was a beautiful diamond and that I better get it insured. And so far everyone in the family loves it too, so I'm assuming it's passing as a diamond:) It looks real to me, but I'm no diamond expert.
The setting is from Robbins Bros with a 1 carat Asha
Sorry, I just noticed the pictures didn't load! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my asha :)
I have an Asha! I love it - FH and I are moving and trying to buy a house. We feel like the diamond is such a small part of it, but we still wanted something nice!
We went with ashadiamonds.com, as they had so many styles to pick from. Also, we loved that we could get Palladium on the setting. Here's my beauty :)
P.s Pictures do NOT do it justice - it's so gorgeous. No one knows it's not a diamond, and women stop me at stores to see it because it's so sparkly!
@napabridekelsey: SO is shopping with ashadiamonds too! I love their settings! I love the spilt shank (?), it's so pretty. What type of wedding band are you going to have? Do you find people ask you if it's real? If so what do you say?
I had a hard time choosing between my ring and the Carina (mine is the Verona). But I decided I love the solitaire style setting better, due to the higher profile.
The band is still up in the air. We'll probably get something with Kay Jewelers because I have a credit card with them. I'm looking at mixing and matching the band to the ring because it'll be tough to find something that 'matches' without having it custom made.
Here's a few that I love:

And regarding if people ask if it's real: No one has questioned it, to be honest. Everyone in my family is ga-ga over it. When they as where we got it, I always answer 'Oh, Fiance got it from an online retailer' and say he got a really great deal that way. (thanks to you bees, I got that great response from!!)
@napabridekelsey: Your ring, especially the setting, is beautiful! And you're right, pics don't do the stone justice.
Thank you @littlemouse :) I'm so in love with it!
Wow, the pic didn't post. Here goes again. It is a Robbins Bros setting with a 1 ct asha.

Here is mine! He proposed at the 4th of July fireworks. It's a 2.5 carat Asscher cut from Ashadiamonds in palladium.
@nickelpickle75: Your ring is gorgeous! I love that it looks vintage! (With the metal work). On a side note, do you mind me asking what your username represents? (My FI's nickname is pickle and I always call him nickel pickle. It just caught my eye!
Thanks!
Just a nickname from my grandma! I've been called many variations of it over the years :)
Every lady loves a beautiful ring on her finger. However, in these tough economic times it is very difficult for a man to prove his love through buying a large diamond. So why not a Moisannite or an Asha with a Amora coating. You can have a beautiful ring and not be embarrased. Spend the money on a nice honeymoon or furniture for your first home. These simulants and enhanced gemstones are very beautiful. Nothing to be embarrased over.

I have an Asha and I LOOOVE it!!! I was given an antique diamond ring and matching band that belonged to my soon-to-be husband's mother. It's gorgeous and I love it. But, he wanted me to have something from him. So, we looked at getting a diamond, but... it's just so expensive!!! So, we decided to go with Asha. It's very sparkly, the cut is perfection, the setting is gorgeous, and it doesn't look fake at all. It's not super white. It's "G" color, 2.5 carats (something we'd never be able to afford in a diamond!) Please excuse the phone wires! I'm on my lunch break at work and had to take a phone pic!
@MhmKat: Come to think... I think I may have the same exact ring as yours! I acutally must admit... your ring was somewhat my inspiration when I was researching Asha!! Is its the Roselyn setting??
Katelovescats i love love your ring! im also an asha 1.5ct center in diamond halo

@Katelovescats: Yes, they are the same! I loved that ring so much. That was actually just a temporary setting while we were saving up for my new one so I don't wear that one anymore. Beautiful ring though!
Oopse, MhmKat was my old account so the name is different but it's me haha

Hi ladies, anyone here have an asha? I've seen the better than diamonds board but i just wanted opinions from an unbiased place i.e not the forum board of the company who makes them. How has yours worn and feel free to post any pictures!
