@jessjlstar:  Hey there! There is an 8 page thread from people that have the ring and have ordered it from Moco (same company that owns AD.com)

You’ll likely see a lot of moissanite center stones on that thread.

Have you checked out the forums on betterthandiamond.com ? There should be tons of asha pics there and lots of ladies that can answer your questions!

  1. How does the Asha look compared to a diamond? – Very similiar, slightly less sparkly.
  2. How long has/did your Asha lasted/last? – So far over 2.5 years with no issues.
  3. What do you NOT like about your Asha? – That it won’t last forever.
  4. Is the Asha “too white” to look real? – Nope.
  5. Has your Asha shown any signs of clouding or scratching? – Nope.
  6. Has anyone questioned your Asha? – Yes, close friends.

If you want your dream ring, I would get the ring with diamond side stones and Asha center, so you can swap out to an Amora Gem later without having to worry about matching the side stones color wise. 🙂

@jessjlstar:  Yes, and don’t get me wrong, the “less” is quite minimal, but I could tell the diamond I compared it to was a bit more sparkly. That may have had something to do with the fact that I own a pear cut and they just aren’t super sparkly to begin with, but I don’t know for sure.

And, diamond side stones are usually pretty cheap because of how tiny they are, so I would certainly look in to it, because you usually don’t save much having moissy side stones, and you DO NOT want CZ side stones because they will scratch easy and become dull and look hazy quickly.

  1. How does my Asha look compared to a diamond?  Pretty similar as long as it is clean but I agree with the PP that said it is less sparkly.  Not by much but there is a difference.
  2. How long has your Asha lasted? Nearly 18 months with no wear and tear.  I did manage to crack a side stone in my halo but my insurance paid for the repair.
  3. What do you not like about your Asha stone?  Ditto PP.  That it will not last forever but I knew that when I bought it.
  4. Is the Asha “too white” to look real?  Nope.  I’ve had jewelers tell me how much they love my high quality diamond.
  5. Has your asha shown any signs of clouding or scratching?  Nope and I’ve only read stories from others of it scratching after meaning years or careless use but no one has mentioned that it was cloudy since the coating prevents the core from doing that.
  6. Has anyone questioned your Asha?  Only one person, a very RUDE former co-worker.  But he also asked if my breast was fake (FYI they are not).  Some people are just too blunt.

Like Mrs Cassie said you should really get the diamond side upgrades to make your setting your forever setting.  Ashadiamonds.com offers layaway as long as it’s not a sale item so you could put down as little 10% down and make a payment of 10% each month until you pay it off.  Also my understanding is that the Asha melee is just regular cz and does not have the amorphous diamond treatment which will make them more prone to damage.  Oh and my Asha center stone matches my diamonds perfectly.

MrsCassie:  why have your close friends questioned your asha? Is it bigger then norm or does it just look like a cz?
